Re: Joint Effort Tree - a slightly different Joint Effort
I had to take care of some other things in my life, so had to put Generally on a side track for a while. Sorry about that, guys. Now I can hopefully review the recieved tracks and wrap up the project shortly. I'll be in touch :) EDIT: Txizzle , after going through my files and emails, I don't think ...

I've sent out the files for the last stage to Txizzle, Marco and Dragon. However, we have one opening! If you were thinking of joining, now would be the perfect time!

Re: Joint Effort Tree - a slightly different Joint Effort
I sent Dan a PM the other day, but apparently he hasn't been online since before that... if he doesn't reply within the next couple of days, we'll have to assign another trackmaker with the task.Scholl wrote:Any news on the progress?

Re: Joint Effort Tree - a slightly different Joint Effort
Yup, that's pretty much the idea... similarly to what I proposed to Scholl in a PM, which was to take an inscribed circle and divide it into 3 parts, going from there. Obviously there would be some leftover land, but that's just some "free" land to play with. :) We're not going to count pi...

I just heard from Dan, and will be very busy in the following weeks, so we should pick another starter. I'm thinking Aleksi Scholl. What do you say?

Re: Joint Effort Tree - a slightly different Joint Effort
I emailed Dan about creating the first triangle, as he hadn't responded to my proposal here. We'll wait a few days before assigning someone else with the task of creating the first triangle.
Also hi Aleksi and Scholl!!

Re: Joint Effort Tree - a slightly different Joint Effort
Okay, I think we should start and hope that a few (or at least one) more people will join as we go. As of now, the participating trackmakers are: Mad Dan Marco Onik73 Txizzle Dragon egamad I would agree that a road track would be nice, as a few of you have suggested. I propose a small-ish world size...

Re: Joint Effort Tree - a slightly different Joint Effort
Okk guys... I'm ready. :bg: Tell me what should I do... I cannot wait to get started :trampo: Nothing just yet, we need at least 2 more people to be able to even do the triangle variation, which is a lot smaller in terms of required track makers. But maybe we can start thinking about the track type...

Re: Joint Effort Tree - a slightly different Joint Effort
why don't we make it weird and do the squares as thirds? :) Interesting idea. I see this going like this: one person starts and makes 1/3 of the track. Persons 2 and 3 make the next triangle (different one each), then persons 4,5,6,7 finish off, giving us 4 different tracks by 7 authors. Is this ho...

Given that there should be 15 people (not counting dropouts) to pull this off, we need *a bit* more people to participate. Anyone else interested?

Re: Joint Effort Tree - a slightly different Joint Effort
Hello good people of GeneRally! I've stumbled upon some old JET pictures and got nostalgic, thinking that it might be time to start another project (it's been over 3 years since we released the last one!). As I haven't really touched GR since around the same time, I have no idea who of the gu...

Re: [rwl] [cir] Road America by Sartalas and Lorenzo
I'm usually not a fan of [RWL] or big WS circuits in general, but this track looks freakishly attractive. The tarmac and pits are greatly textured and dithered, and all the lmap details around the track look authentic. That's a ToM material track for sure!

I haven't been active as a trackmaker here in ages, but I still lurk the forums and feel a part of this community, and I though you guys would like to visit. The ser...
