Re: The Forgotten - Hidden Gems of GR
This post is very very special, as I will talk about some really underrated elements in tracks ... And only with the works of AleksiNir and Darjo I have so much to cover. :D Hey Kikwik and others  I only now saw this post, and although it's a little embarrassing to have these messages of my t...

Re: Developer Blog
Hey all, it's really nice to see that GR2 development is getting along! And I'm glad to see that it is remaining faithful to the original GR in many important ways (although based on what I have seen, I do feel that you could be a bit more brave in modernizing the game  ). I'm curious, what...

Re: Has anyone tried "Circuit Superstars" ?
I have also played Circuit Superstars quite a bit and I agree with everything said by Crowella and Kikwik above. I've used the nick Ihramon(ster) in Circuit Superstars, in case someone recognizes it. It would be cool we could arrange a "meet" of GR people in Circuit Superstars and race tog...

Re: Joint Effort Track Project
Good work Crowella and XYY  I think Ogoodt is a good suggestion, it kinda seems like Dutch to me and this town could be Dutch :D Aliman's improvements on his own square are great and it would be a shame to release the track without them... ;) Admittedly, at least my own square could use a simila...

Re: Joint Effort Track Project
That's a nice square
But it'd be nice to get the previous one finished first... Since Crowella isn't showing up, anyone that is willing can do the final piece as far as I'm concerned.

Re: Joint Effort Track Project
I will repeat the question... who wants to do the final piece? Since people aren't exactly lining up for this, I think it's ok if someone that has already done a piece wants to do another one.

I'm sorry to hear that, Txizzle, and don't worry about this project. I hope everything will be ok for you.
Who wants to take the last piece, then?

Re: [cir] Eleron
What an excellent hmap, it's like a gentle, pleasant rollercoaster :goodvibes: And the layout is balanced masterfully and there's a great flow. It's truly a top quality track in these regards. A brave decision to use soft walls, but I think it's better this way than it would be with hay bales. My ma...

Re: [stc] Vihervaara
Out of your two newest tracks, I prefer this one. There's a great flow and it's surprisingly difficult to get in a clean lap. I like the unconventional pit lane a lot

Re: Joint Effort Track Project
Herbal, the "squares" have been reserved by Scholl, Txizzle and aliman, so they aren't available :worried: One of them should go next. But if somebody pulls out, you're the first to get the honor of replacing them, for sure. Scholl, Txizzle, aliman, are you here? First come, first serve. B...

Re: Joint Effort Track Project
Alright, here's my piece. The direction of the track is still undecided, clockwise or anti-clockwise are both fine. The person who does the central piece can alter the part where the street joins the central piece if they wish to. Who wants to go next? :) They should do either the top-left or the ce...

Re: Joint Effort Track Project
Great  Yes, with 5 participants we could do pizza slices, but I think this kind of division may be better. Any thoughts? A street track as aliman suggested sounds good :) Is anyone willing to start? If nobody steps up within a week, I'll do the first piece. Meanwhile, other people are still welc...

Re: Joint Effort Track Project
Aliman, you certainly fulfill the requirements for participation. :) XYY, in my opinion the project is the "property" of the community rather than BBA specifically... and since he hasn't been around for a while anyway, I think there's no problem if somebody else takes the reins :2c: It see...

Re: [cir] Mujisan
Thanks guys
The bottom-right area was inspired by rural landscapes seen e.g. in the movie My Neighbor Totoro. For the rest of it, I wasn't trying to make it seem Japanese, but if it does look like that, I guess that's a good thing
Any thoughts on drivability?

Here's another one! After there were so many fictional tracks based on real-life tracks being posted recently, I wanted to make one myself. This one is based on Fuji Speedway, more specifically the slightly older layout. And since the layout was a bit older, I decided to give the track a somewhat hi...

Re: Joint Effort Track Project
Awesome, guys! I was thinking that we could do a JE track if we get at least 4 participants. We could make the WS smaller to compensate for the fact that the square will be a larger portion of the track, so that it won't be too laborious. But I'm hoping for at least 6 participants. :) @XYY: I didn't...

Thanks Matty & Ivo :bsmile: Ivo, I will not challenge your accusations towards my hmaps of the past... The argument is valid  Looking back at many of my past tracks, I feel that somehow I've both tried too hard and not tried hard enough with them... If that makes any sense. Is...

Re: [stc] [cir] Cotzda and Lime Stone
As for Cotzda, I appreciate that you've done something a bit unconventional, but it's not really my thing - the aesthetic of the track is not to my liking :vsad: Lime Stone, on the other hand, is lovely! Here, the aesthetic is excellent. The bumps near the end of the lap work brilliantly. Are those ...

Re: Joint Effort Track Project
:bump: Seeing that there is a bunch of trackmakers that are still (semi)active, would there be interest for a JE project? :) I'd say we should see how many people are interested to participate, and use an according number of squares (or other shapes, if needed). So, please declare your interest if y...

Re: [cir] Zunzelina
The AI give a really hard run for their money, I managed to finish 5th in the second race I did, only because I made one AI cars miss a lap :sweatdrop: That last corner is really evil, also I didn't really get into the flow of this track and often missed the first corner as well. My will to master ...

Re: [cir] Maroon Seca
I truly adore this track. Since perhaps forever the ideal GR track is considered to be one that is filled to the brim with details in lmap and object placement, preferably with an original concept in layout and/or scenery. Such tracks are amazing, of course, but I think for many of us, at least for ...
