Thanks! There was a lot of estimation and guesswork involved, but IIRC it's fairly powerful for a station wagon, and not too heavy.MattyG wrote:Looks like a Renault 5 estate, which its pretty cool because they never made one..

Started as a vague sketch in my younger brother's notebook. Ended up as a speedy, race-tuned station wagon from the '80s with ridiculous side skirts. Not sure if it's European or from somewhere in Asia, but it definitely isn't from the U.S. or Australia.

Re: Bits of car not showing up correctly.
For poly order, you want the overlay pollies on the right (i.e. higher number) than the background pollies. In you instance, if flipped pollies is not the issue, the headlight and tail-light should be higher poly number than the pollies "underneath" these. Also remember to click the norma...

I don't think that will help. I'm trying to increase the zoom factor further than the limits will allow.JWong wrote:To fix the zoom issue, use a lower resolution

Just by looking at it, I can tell you that it doesn't really look like a 'vette, but it performs like a dragster of some sort.

Re: Car Ideas, W.I.P. and Teasers/Trailers
Been working on a new car based on an immensely vague sketch my little bro made. The idea started as "I'll make a speedy station wagon from the '80s!" but became "I'll make a racing-oriented station wagon! With little side skirts and such on the sides and front! From the '80s!". ...

Bits of car not showing up correctly.
Neither the right headlight nor the lower half of the 2-poly single-solid-bar-style taillight are showing up on my car. I've ruled out the possibility of flipped pollies, however I can't remember if it's recommended to set the car's pollies up left-to-right (Poly 1 on far left, Poly 20 on far right)...

A few small issues while making a showroom...
How can I force the Track Editor to have a massive amount of zoom and a small track size? I understand 1.05's track editor has a mod (TrackToy) that allows you to do this, but then I'd be stuck with a 1.05 track... Also: Any tips on making a showroom? EDIT: Okay, so size isn't an issue...now to tack...

Gah! I'm tinkering with the floor of my Yankee for the final model, and I just can't pick a favourite configuration. I don't suppose any of you can tell me which of the following figures clicks with you the most? Figure one has the floor at -0.4. This is the shortest car. Figure two has the floor a...

I finally completed the 12th car. Here is the pack, it includes 4 new models (Onewheeler, Rallycar, Sidamob and Yankee) and all others, very often with minor tweaks including some colour scheme changes, hopefully it's enough good and amuse somebody. :) IMHO, the Yankee looks a bit too much l...

Thinking about making some Podracers, since those have been on the request list for ages. On the plus side, since the Furore GT is done, I there are no Generally cars I'm obliged to make (unless someone has a suggestion for a GTA2 car).

Re: Issues with car suspension.
The problem you're having is you have to physically move the entire model in the actual model editor in order to compensate. I've opened all three cars, and noticed you kept all their models in the same position in the editor, even though the Y value is changing their elevation in-game. The Y value...

Re: Issues with car suspension.
If you can reproduce the issue, upload the car here, so we will have closer look. 1st case, car is too high, its tires don't touch the ground: the regular version of the Furore GT has that issue: http://forum.gene-rally.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=2579&p=55914#p55914 2nd case, car is a touch to...

Issues with car suspension.
Hopefully this quote from an earlier thread of mine (showcasing the beta version of a car I'm working on) will explain my problem. Y-value in physics editor might be that "suspension" thing you're talking about. Avoid using 0 at all costs. I was messing with it earlier, the problem was tha...

Y-value in physics editor might be that "suspension" thing you're talking about. Avoid using 0 at all costs. I was messing with it earlier, the problem was that either it was riding too high and/or having weird traction problems (like it was riding on a ball bearing mounted in the middle ...

Re: [gtc] GTA2 Furore GT
30 vertexes are allowed, so you should easily have enough polygons and vertexes left. xD Excellent. EDIT: No wait, that won't work. The headlights are rectangular. EDIT 2: In a nutshell, I lost the Furore's .car file after messing around with performance for awhile. Last problem I remember having w...
