I'm surprised how (relatively) well I did in the Time Trial and especially the Hotlap. I expected to be dead last in the Hotlap, since it went horrible. Results! I'm excited!

I practiced the new racing track, Salzburg, today. It's fairly easy to run away from the AIs on this track, as well as 1-lapping them. Easier to fit the pit stops to make sure you get minimal delay from the AIs. Very curious how well I did in the first race.

It always shows average speed. Try a new installment of GR, to see if your skipping problem still exists, otherwise I have not came across this problem at all :). Races might be challenging, but with practice I'm confident you can run away from the AI drivers :bg:. It depends largely on the track for me. In Salzburg it is very easy to do so; a decent start and you're gone. And once you're free from the AIs it is of course pretty easy to stay ahead and increa...

Those races are going to be tough. It's not easy to have a good start. Gave a few tracks a go with the AIs and I often risk getting some damage unless I give way and lose a few seconds deliberately.

I just did my race. It went kinda poorly. Made some errors in varying degrees, and the AI on last place was being troublesome when 1-lapping him, made me lose several seconds I think.
Nonetheless, fun race! I think I did too poorly to match up to my qualification, but I'm curious about the results. ^^

Honestly, I think I was lucky. It was, I think, the third best lap I've driven on that track in total - and I've practised a fair bit. Perhaps part of it is performing well under pressure, but still - I was originally merely going for sub-23 (which, to my own surprise, would've landed me on spot #6 ...
