[ral] Laipapto
Laipapto Set around a jungle road, this track features tarmac sections, mud sections and a bridge over water. The long flowing turns on the mud and tarmac contrast with the sharp hairpin turns and the elevation changes present on this track. I've not played GeneRally for a while, but got back into ...

Re: New World Tour Track Project
Here comes my track. I did a mini because I liked the fact that small. :D The house I went wrong because it was my first home. It took me almost three hours to do it but I did not do well! :weep: 1. Lmap house isn't very well drawn. Using object houses would be better (and IMO make it more like the...

Re: New World Tour Track Project
puttz agreed to let me do Hungary via PM, so here's my completed Hungary track.
I've tried to make the track in the same style as the original World Tour tracks. It's a WS140 track, which is quite wide, allowing a variety of lines and overtaking spots. Hopefully it's OK.

Would Kuwait be allowed? I've got a layout for a desert-based track, and would like to do a Middle Eastern country.
Misread the rules. Thought you could choose any country. Sorry.

Where do you put the dll files? I've put them in the same folder as the Car Editor, but the problem isn't resolved.

Car Editor Problem
For some reason, while I can open the Car Editor, every time I click on "Model", the model window doesn't appear, not even in the task bar at the bottom. Is there a way to solve this problem? (I recently got a new hard drive with Vista if that helps)

Re: The Official Thread of The Strange and Useless
If you put the engine power of a car high enough, the engine sound eventually vanishes (or becomes so high pitched, you can't hear it). Also, if you go fast enough, the car's body vanishes.
I discovered this while playing around with car values in the Car Editor (and crashed TrackTool with this).

The physics are good, but the McLaren's grey is too light, and the wings are too wide in my opinion.

2 Suggestions: 1. Boost. Every lap you can use a boost button to get a temporary speed increase, like KERS. This recharges each lap, and the amount you get can be user defined. 2. DRS. While this may take away slightly from the arcade style, you (and the AI) can use DRS if you are within a set dista...

Re: [kar] Desert Kart circuit
For a first-time track it is very good. The curves are mainly smooth, the track width is constant, and you have considered the scenery well. I believe you have potential as a track maker.

Re: Track Ideas, W.I.P. and Teasers/Trailers
From what I understand the hmap is shown only on the layout. Or not? Yes. I will need to work on the scenery hmap, with regards to objects. Is it just me or does his track heavily resemble Twin Ring Motegi? I do see what you mean, although I did not base the track on it. Some corners are based on r...

Here is a preview of a track I am making, that is around 1.2km long. It is my first real attempt at a track with a hmap, so what are your first thoughts. I know some kerbs are missing, don't pester me about that. Here is a picture of the layout, and the layout transposed onto the hmap EDIT-Sorry, wr...

Either #22 or #9 (Born on 22/9/96, and 9 is my lucky number), or in 3 digit cases #229. Although I would not mind #1.

Re: [for] Formula Ford - You can create your own liveries!
I'm considering doing an F1 1996 set, which in my opinion was the last year before mass-livery changes, and the last year of Marlboro and Rosso Corsa. Anybody interested? (There will be 1314 liveries)
Also, can polys 11 and 12 be removed (the triangular ones that are on the bottom of the sidepods.?

I was going to do the Arrows, but the template and colours spoil it. Most of them were quite plain as well.Krisu wrote:The car is cool, Andrew Nice job!
Now you can start making the other F1 '99 cars as well... I'll be waiting
Although I may do a "home nations" set.

Fixed the issue (but had to swap 40 Polygons). So here it is. You may have guessed it when I mentioned asymmetrical, it's based on the BAR-Supertec 001.

Re: [for] Formula Ford - You can create your own liveries!
I made a livery, but when I use it in GeneRally, it comes up like it is mirrored. The livery is asymetrical, and based on a real-life car, so I don't understand why this is happening.

Paw, you can't be serious. Never before have I heard of such a rule be made in that context, on the old track database nor on RSC, and even the official forum rules here states nothing about how track objects should be placed. It doesn't even make sense in the context of the game itself. There's ve...
