New 3D top-down racing project
In the past few months the Turbo Sliders' developer decided to work on 3D top-down racing project. Its code name is TS2020 which signalize that it's going to be a spiritual successor of magnificent Turbo Sliders, but there is a lot of things that GeneRally's fans might find interesting too (the game...

Re: GeneRally 2 - Pre-Alpha Demo Released
Now when Unreal 4 has become free, I was thinking... Why don't you just abort the whole process and restart it with it?

Re: Developer Blog
One thing is for sure: You can not expect new people to be interested to the game without releasing the "ordinary" (non-browsered) demo. It's just impossible to enjoy the game while playing it as it's now. A "normal" demo should be downloadable for all the people once the Kickst...

Re: GeneRally 2 - Pre-Alpha Demo Released
How about classic (local) PC version of the demo? I'm afraid this one will not be attractive enough for the people who aren't familiar with the GeneRally game yet.
Anyway, even I had no such a smooth experience by my browser, I still see great improvements.

...with too many objects the tracks may end like a mess easily - I think already now we are in GR1 very near to the border of amount of object types, when I consider that the area for use remains same (screen where whole track is visible at once). I guess Kimmo would like to do opposite - to use hi...

Re: Developer Blog
I agree with you, Darjo, for example the twitter account is saying so few new about what they are doing, just occasionally replying on questions and often by a rather empty phrase like we consider it, it's our priority, we're aiming for that, more details on that soon etc. No own thoughts, teasing,...

Re: Developer Blog
I don't think polygon increasing is a bad thing necessary. I think it would give bigger challenge to all of the car makers. I'm just scared about game smoothness on a older PCs. Btw, I read this: "Next time, on the developer blog, Markku will be giving us some insight into the game engine itsel...

Re: Official GeneRally feature request list
In my opinion, the best way to solve this problem will be if they just make the new version just to read the old tracks, not also to convert them.
Beside that, they could make some "convert tool" for track makers who want to bring some old tracks to a new look.

James said: "Over the years, there have been numerous requests to allow custom objects for tracks, but in reality, that’s just not something that fits with the style we’re going for. We want people to make the most of the resources they have, and come up with superb creations (think back to the...

Re: Official GeneRally feature request list
They talk about tracks as they are in GR now, i.e. very long layout (like this ) placed within current map limits & driven with a rather slow car resulting in time 60+ secs. Noone talks about bigger maps or anything else, which would make chasing camera necessary to anything. Oh, I see t...

Re: Official GeneRally feature request list
Increase the maximum lap time to allow for longer tracks. And how long races do you want to have? I think, that 255 minutes (laps or kilometres) is long enough. He said maximum lap time, meaning more than 60 seconds for a lap - at the moment you don't get lap times for longer tracks than one minute...

Re: Official GeneRally feature request list
yeah, a Rally mode would be great, with cumulative damage and wear until the next service area would be cool :D Yeah baby! :bg: And that's the place where having more than 6 players in multiplayer could bring a lot of fun (especially if they could drive one after another on the same PC - hotseat )....

Re: Developer Blog
Grrr, come on bitches, my eyes want to see something more there!!!
I'm really happy about developer's decision to keep moving with this beautiful game, so I'm one of the players who is looking forward to all of the news too. I wish you a lot of great new ideas there.
