James wrote:Intended behaviour. This is due to a change we made to the ghost lap format in GR v1.10... unfortunately the tools you mention will need to be updated to comply with the change.
Observed in v1.10? Yes
Observed in v1.05? No
Problem:
When I check a track or a savegame with TrackTool(Verify) or Savegamereader for a competition,
sometimes car is not found or written red, although it is ok. I must export car and check it
manually in Careditor.
Expected Behaviour:
Car should be found and written Black.
Reproduction:
1. Chose car (Name < 12 letters)
2. Race
3. Save game
4. Check track with TrackTool (Verify Button) and game with Savegamereader
Hint:
I check the original car and exported car with Hexeditor. Files are identical except one byte.
It is Byte (Hex 14) directly behind 12 Bytes reserved for car name. Seems, that GR110 writes
car in track and savegame in wrong way.

Operating System: Windows XP, different Hardware, same Problem

James wrote:Intended behaviour. As above, this is due to a change in how ghost laps are stored in v1.10. The format was changed slightly to make future updates easier.
Observed in v1.10? Yes
Observed in v1.05? No
Problem:
With GR105 track file size reduce with every new TR (12 Bytes every 0.02 sec)
With GR110 Track file size is fixed to track+added ghost (slow first lap)
Expected Behaviour:
Track file size should reduce proportional to Track Record (Ghost Data)
Reproduction:
1. reset track / end GR / make a note of track file size (example: 120kB)
2. race only one slow lap / make a note of track file size (example: 150kB)
3. race more laps, new TR / filesize constant 150kB (in GR1.05 it reduce 12Bytes every 0.02 sec)
After some laps, end of file is filled with no needed messy data.
btw. - a small problem
