half ghost half car: The Pantera Mk1

Post by Steelronin »

i recently downloaded the generally car editor, created my first car and did the physics. the physics work fine but the appearnce does not: it seems as though half of the car is visible and the other half is not.. is this a common problem, more to the point: is it fixable? (i would love to post the car its is inspired by the 917k and those kind of cars!)

Change the 3d model window to "polys" option by clicking on it. Then you will see which polies need to be inverted. Using the slider in the top-left corner and the "1<->2" buttons revert these polies.

This also happened to my first car (blue flame :D )
You have to use the "Polies" mode (double-click twice where the model is shown). Select a poly that's wrong and use one of the buttons below the "Vertex"-select-list.
Do this for every poly.
And don't forget to go to "Lightning" mode once (double click once when you're in Polies viewmode) to click the "Normals" button once - it gives your car a better shading or sth.

Edit: Seems that someone was faster ;)
