Hi everybody, first post here and first attempt at car/track modding in general.
What I wanted to do was tweak the physics a bit in order to reward carrying speed out of the corner more than just drift into them. I see the original cars just kind of plateau at a certain speed, so you're not likely to gain on somebody on a straight, no matter how you get off a turn.
I tried raising top speed and lowering air resistance and power, but I haven't tested them a lot yet. Since I won't be home in a bit I decided to post here and see if anybody has already come up with something in this regard. So any hint?
Little help with car physics
Re: Little help with car physics
GR Formula Cup cars and Thunder Alley's Daytona TA01 are fairly recent representations of what you might like.
If you want to reward momentum carriers, have a car with ONE of the following characteristics:
- Lower grip + higher downforce
- Lower balance + higher downforce
- Lower power + higher top speed + lower air resistance
