Possible to put logos on tracks?

hey lads,
since yesterday i'm trying for first time to make tracks on some programmes like paint.net, gimp or land editor..
i've read some tutorials and tried to find an answer for my problem, without success..

how you can see on the pic in attachment, i want to put logos on the track.
i know it depends on the gr-palette that it doesn't work, but how can i change it to make it work?

As you've probably noticed, you can export the landmaps from trackeditor. If you paste logos in your track with Paint (XP Paint if you're using Vista/Win7) and just save them in the same format no errors should occur

that was simple

but if i make tracks on paint.net f.e. (wondering, why the hell there is no option to save a 16bit.bmp??) and open it with MS Paint (to save it as a 16bit.bmp), there's a loss of colours.. is there any possibility to avoid this?

I don't know if that works, but you could try to select the whole picture in paint.net and paste it in a "generally-compatible" (exported from TE) bitmap. But maybe you'll also have a color loss then.
