Car Editing Colours.

Post by Polaris »

I need to know the best colours (by number) to use for the following:

Headlights (white, or grey)
Windshields (blue, or grey)
Backlights (red)
Base (black)
Solid yellow

Just give me the numbers. By "best colours" I mean the ones that don't glitch in-game, or fluctuate from the actual colour I selected.
Thank you.

Headlights (white, or grey) = 106 (white), 111 (yellow)
Windshields (blue, or grey) = 184 (blue), 20 (grey)
Backlights (red) = 116 ALL DAY EVERY DAY
Base (black) = 8 or 168

You don't need grey lights.

basically, you just have to see that there are the same colours one and two spots behind, e.g. you can use white 107 (because 108 and 109 are also white), but you shouldn't use 108 (110 isn't white).

Thanks alot, now I can get on without fearfully guessing which colours to pick. :D

Edit:
And also, what does the Y Size do? I find that if I set it higher, it makes the car float, while if it's lower, it'll stay on the ground, but other cars roll over it, and it tends to go under bridges instead of over them.

Y Size in the physics editor sets the car's "center of gravity", in a way.

I don't understand why the car would be floating though...

It also changes how "high" the model, including wheels (but not the shadow) sits. Too high Y-value relative to the car's proportions, especially when wheel location on the Y-axis is greater than 0, results in a car that appears to be floating.
