Long names display "~1"

As the title says, in GeneRally after installing some track mods, some track names appear to be in the format "first few letters + ~1" instead of the full name. Is there a way to fix this?

No, there is not. 12 (13?) characters per track name are the maximum.
In earlier versions, these tracks wouldn't even be displayed in the main menu.

Yes, Rudy is right about the 12 character limit. There's nothing you can do about it apart from renaming the tracks so that they don't have too long names.
