Yeah pretty much...
But they were placed quite badly I think because you could easily go off track (by mistake like what happened to me) on the inside track and it would not matter (blue lines) but if you did that at the outside track like I did (red line) you would just lose a checkpoint. I think this placement is not very clever. And there is no way how to know if you already went to far or not, when it is on the inside of the corner it makes sense against cutting but why at the outside, there is no chance I'd gain time by that and it was unfortunate accident.

I agree with you.
Generally I do not like this checkpoint system against shorting tracks, I think it is much better to design tracks in order to minimize risk of missing them (e.g. by stones o the inside of corners).

You have a quite right. I will examine this situation again, and then I make the final decisions.

Edit:
After consultation among GRFiA I made the decision to change the results of SS16, and consequently - the whole Rally Sweden.
MadDan on the last attempt went too wide and missed a checkpoint on the outside (the lack of any profits). It was his obvious error, as well as my mistake - the organizer, because I put too short checkpoint. Mad made one more lap and the game passed him time more than 50 seconds, which is so far It showed in the results. Now MadDan has included time SS16, which reached at the time of the physical cross the finish line of that special stage. It is 35.63 (and so the last place on SS). In addition MadDan was punished plus one second to the final result for bypassing the checkpoint.

CHALLENGE
  • Based in the country’s fifth largest city of León, 400km north-west of Mexico City.
  • Drivers must remember how to master gravel roads. It’s the first of four dirt rounds in this season and the first gravel event since Great Britain last October, however few of the current drivers had the opportunity to start at that rally.
  • Temperatures nearing 30°C put stress on engines and transmissions.
  • The route climbs to the season’s highest point at 2737m. Engines struggle to breathe in the thin air and lose 20 per cent power. Less power means mistakes are punished more severely as accelerating back to top speed takes longer.
  • Many stones across the roads can inflict big damage.
STANDINGS
  • Drivers: 1. Merton 2. Gera 3. Alonso 4. Lukasz 5. DrNo
  • Teams: 1. Magma Machine 2. RK M-Sport WRT 3. Croatia Racing Team 4. Monster WRC Team 5. Wydobycie
  • Manufacturers: 1. Ford 2. Hyundai 3. Citroen 4. Volkswagen
Login is ready!

I invite you all to the comments and good luck on the stages! :rally:

Same happened to me this time as to Mad Dan last time. I missed a checkpoint on the outside due to my driving error on the 1st stage, realized this only after crossing the finish line, then lost many many seconds trying to get my car again visible, and finally finished the stage with the time of 60.00. I'll finish the rally nevertheless but the fun is already gone this round. :vsad:

Edit: got fun back for day 2 - great stages! I don't expect good performance, though. ;)

I was very nervous about my debut in the world of rallying so I made a serious mistake in the first attempt but in general I am satisfied because I'm out of my world.

I completed Day 1 :). It was nice again driving on my old stages :D. I was quite confident in practice but in login I was generally slower than expected so I might hope for some more points but nothing too great ;).

Day 2 completed. During both days I managed to keep pace from practice, which were two times longer than in Monte Carlo and Sweden.

I hope I will finally finish in points, maybe even in top 10.

Great, my first stage win :-) I like chocolate! Pity my 2nd leg was little bit worse (and I lost many time on SS5), but I hope for my first points on these fantastic tracks!
