Key to victory will be not clipping the Turn 3 and final turn walls. Clip them even once and you've already lost.

I think the secret of a possible victory is to be fast with worn tires.
:heyea: I hope the "Gods of the GR" still with me! :D

Yes, you're right Fogo! Sometimes it is really annoying to see how slow you are in comparison to the first stint with new tyres!

Wow, that wasn't too bad. I couldn't get a very clean _and_ fast run in, so this was my best effort.

9th place is acceptable for me, as I practised not very much...
.... but why am I placed 3rd in drivers championship though I have same number of points as Reh?

When drivers have the same number of points, the best placed is the one with the best finishing position, over this last 5 races. Your best was 7th in Round six, and Reh finished 6th in Round seven :bg:

Conratulations for the winners, very fast times again (in fact I'm like  )! I was buried in work in the past few weeks but maybe I'll be able to make mplume's life a bit harder in the last 2 rounds ;) !
And after that I'll go on a virtual holiday, I'll take a brake from racing a little to regain my motivation!

So, after 8 weeks I could finally get a win :yipee: In many races I started to lose positions at the end when the tires got worse, but now get a nice gap at the beggining worked, and even akouk was clearly faster than me last two laps it was possible to hang on :)

We go to the last two races and the battle for the Group A title goes with FogoRJ leading 7 points ahead of me, and 13 points ahead of majortom.

akouk, who could be fighting for the main title  leads Group B with a good difference to Reh and XYY, who are having a great points battle. And Ivo, 10 points behind the German drivers, can try to get to second place too :bg:

Round 9 is at GR8 Eight, and I believe we can expect some surprises there since it's a different style of racing again :cflag:

Good Luck!

Maybe some drivers will want to join the championship for the last two rounds? :bsmile:

I know it's very annoying when this happens, but...

Round 9 results ready!

Yes, finally here they are :shy:

Again I recommend you to watch the replays first, it's nicer :bg:. We really had some surprises this race, and was cool that the best racing line wasn't really clear, we had drivers going in different ways :) And I'll already congratulate L.Marquetti and Teacher! Of course also the winner and best placed guys, but specially these two had a great improvement :goodvibes:

So, friday 23:59.59 GMT is the deadline of tenth and last Round, at Los Masiños (if someone need more time, just PM me). FogoRJ is still leading, 8 points ahead of me and I'll need an improbable luck to get him

Good luck everybody!

The results of the last round and the final standings are ready, here!

>>>>>>>>>>>>Congratulations to the champion FogoRJ!<<<<<<<<<<<<

Note: there was a little problem with replays this round because some tracks had their names changed by computer to things like "Los Masiäos" and other weird letters. I included with replays a .trk named like that, and with it, it all seems to work normally :sweatdrop: And Teacher's replay is not in because he didn't pick himself in first place before the race

And we had our last round of the season :cflag: It was a good race at Los Masiños with the battle for the win going till last corner one more time. In the battle for the Group A championship, no big surprises happened, as FogoRJ showed again why he deserves to be the champion by driving his Porsche to the 6th win, in 10 races.

Then I am the second in standings with 1 win, and majortom is the third. After those comes mplume finishing in a great 4th, taking advantage because some drivers missed a few races, but really showing a great performance in many rounds :bg:

akouk won Group B doing what we expected from him, and made awesome races, battling with FogoRJ in almost all of them. His worst race finish in the playoff phase was finishing 2nd, four times. After him we have XYY and Reh, who were fighting in points standings since the beggining of the championship, but at the end, XYY is ahead, by one point. Trigger Happy and Dany completes Group B's top 5.

And now I can say that I'm quite surprised with the attendance we had. The season started at Tuiuti with 19 drivers, and between guys leaving and joining, this last race had 15 drivers. To be honest I expected a number like this to come already in second race, but the number of drivers became well established and the best attendance of the championship happened at Round 4, with 21 guys :bsmile:

After all, I want to thank a lot everyone who took part, and maybe ask if you will want a season 2 in the future? :)

In all races, but one, I was last, but who cares. Only 1 point seperated me from the 10th - Buka. I will race in season 2.

In this race I reached what I wanted to get - at least 2 places better than Reh to get the 2nd place in Gr.B ;)
Thanks for your nice competition Cristiano, and thanks to many racers for the thrilling battles at the track ;)
but you could upload the results screen of R9 and R10 anyway :shhh:
