2010/2011 Original Track Update Tournament

Hello people! Here are the OTUT!

Now for the rules:

Type

The competiton is a Race Type tournament without login.Your opponent AI'S are five and represent five of the most important automobilistic countries: USA, Germany, Brazil, Monaco and Finland.

Tracks and Cars

The cars for normal rounds are the Original Cars Update Project General and Go-Kart, made by Ms...(a.k.a. Masa) The tracks are from various trackmasters.


Race configurations:
Tyre Wear: 12%
Fuel consumption: 9%
Fuel Mass: 20%
Damage: 10%
Game speed: 100% or higher
Starting position: See Race Section down here

Race

1-Look for your start position. If you raced the last event, your starting position is FREE. If not, you need to start from the 6th position.
2-Look for the round's car and select the correspondent AI'S. Race against this AI'S on the track.
3-Required files: save(.gam) and 1024x768 screen(.bmp).
4-After the race, compact all the files in a rar or zip named racenumber_yourname, like: 04_manzur
5-Send the file to my MSN: cdlyokoh@hotmail.com and wait the results.


Points system:


1-20
2-17
3-15
4-13
5-10
6-8
7-6
8-4
9-3
10-2
11 or down-If win against AI's, 1 point.
Fastest lap-1

*The test race does't count any points.
*In the surprise round the points are multiplied by 2.

Penalties:
Settings lower than the original: BOP (Back of pack)
Settings higher than original: Lose 5 positions
AI wrong/missing: If it affect the final result, BOP.
Shortcutting/Wallbouncing: If you acidentally shortcut/wallbounce and gain position, you have one lap to give again the advantage obtained. If not, +25 seconds.
Any change in the archives: Disqualification

PS: Unfortunely, we do not will have login on this compo for 2 reasons:
1-It will be made also in another forum, and his members can do not understand the login system.
2-I do not founded a good server in which i can create an account.
PS2: The tracks are separated from original file because if not, it will biggest than the limit.

2 questions: isn't 16 rounds too much? Nocturno race means race with that your palette, where we cannot see anything?

First question: The GRF1 also had 16 rounds and isn't too much.

Why not have it so that your best 12 results count towards the championship?

That way if you dont want to do 16 races it's ok, and if you have a nightmare race it's also ok

Approved idea!(only the 10 best results count)
And another 2 things:
1-The test event was cancelled for less rounds.
2-The tournament will have a newspaper, with interview and a couple of another things...

Only the paint. Go-Kart A is like a professional, the go-kart B likes more a go-kart for public use.

2. Do you mean 9% und 20 kg Fuel?? In the Rules, you've written 9% and 20 %!
3. And... How many kilometres??

2-Mistake, it's 20 kg.
3-10 kilometers

Are you sure that 10 kilometres aren't a little bit to much? In Agari 10 kilometres are 33 rounds!!

The race only took 5-6 minutes. In most competitons, the lenght are 20 or more kilometers, which means aprox 10 min.

Ok, but I think you shouldn't compare your competition too much with others.
GRF1 is something completly different than OTUT. And 10 km respectively 33 rounds are really long, because you haven't many corners to overtake or to have an advantage against the AIs.

So I don't know if you can win your race, but I won't beat all opponents!
