ToM compo S8 [SurpriseLogin] [R] (Round 8!)
Re: ToM compo S8 [SurpriseLogin] [R] (Round 7!)
Round 7 complete! (and sent via email). Kind of sloppy, which is too bad, because a top 10 in points is so close, but I think it might slip away. It's been a lot of fun, though! (not sure which one to use, so I put them all ).

Round 8 is over, and the thread still hasn't been updated since round 7. Is something wrong?

Re: ToM compo S8 [SurpriseLogin] [R] (Round 8!)
Buka has some issues with accessing the the forum and tries to sort it out with his provider, hence the lack of report from 7th round. Out of that on ToM site are replays and scoreboards after 7th, so all needed is there. And of course I'm currently working on results and replays of last round already, so everything out of the report is in the move.
My GR Racing Stats; thanks to GWR!
Re: ToM compo S8 [SurpriseLogin] [R] (Round 8!)
Thanks, Ivo. My prov finally has solved their problem and I'm back. It's too late the report about ToM November so they'll come together - 7th and 8th. I'm very-very sorry. And damn, I had to miss the final round.Trigger Happy wrote:Buka has some issues with accessing the the forum and tries to sort it out with his provider, hence the lack of report from 7th round. Replays are out. I'll comment after the rundowns take place. But fyi 6th place battle is worth watching over last 5 laps

Congrats to the fast people.
Well done, Aleksi, that surely was a race of the champion.

Round 7 was held at the city course of MX City, designed by Dragon, one of the best trackmakers of present GR-world, and racing with Triangle was quite a challenge for drivers. Leaders of drivers classification did their best not to let anyone to interfere with their own battle. Maclape who failed at Oulton Park made everything he could to gain as much points as possible and won the race. Though AleksiNir wasn't far behind from him and finished second. Akouk finished third and it was his third podium during the season. The last contender for the title, TuomoH, was fourth.
Race analysis
Pit-stops strategies :
2 stops - Kuba
3 stops - all others
4 stops - XYY, bgcatfan, Hangman, Mr.J, akouk, AleksiNir, maclape
Great Achieved Strategy (GAS) awards :
bgcatfan, Mr.J, akouk, AleksiNir, maclape
Not Wanted Pit-stop (NWP) :
Areen, Reh, XYY, Hangman
Warnings :
Areen - to start from pole set grid order on points and choose yourself on first place in menu! (not in replays)
Reh - to start from pole set grid order on points
Penalties :
Mad Mack - No save game
The battle continued at Klerksdorp with Sidamob. And it was marked with incredible performance of the leader, AleksiNir, who was rushing at full speed to the title. It's almost impossible to believe, but maclape, his main rival, finished only 13 seconds after him. This time, though, was enough for him to take the second place. Akouk was third once again, but he had hard times with Trigger Happy. The co-designer of the track raced with inspiration and finished just a moment out from podium. We can only regret he skipped the rest of races. FogoRJ finally was able to make his first top-5 in the final race. And he was lucky to overtake the four drivers who were battling behind him and managed to finish in 0.5 sec period of time.

Well, guys, I want to thank you all for your participation, especially those of you who didn't miss a single event - AleksiNir, maclape, Akouk, Hangman, FogoRJ, TuomoH, ACM, majortom, bgcatfan, Alonso, mizzamar, Reh, kuba (I hope I didn't miss anyone) . It was a great pleasure to manage this championship for you, I wish I have a little more free time.
All the pictures and - in the end - the final standings. Sorry for lack of words - not in mood for posting. Thanks for your attention and we hope to see in future competitions. Don't forget that ToM championship is just one of many others great competitions you can find at the GRIF.
