I'm quite happy, only 1,5 sec slower than my best time during practice, no major incidents with IA's, only I had to change strategy because of IA (better pit 2 laps earlier than trying to overtake 4 IA's that are close each other).

Eh, why are there different checkpoints in race without any mention? I thought I missed two laps/checkpoints due to bad driving and already was retiring when I decided to check the trk file. Pitting means no counted lap??? I then continued my race to the finish but lost over 5 seconds due to stopping mid-race and then some more by losing my racing groove. What now? I must say I'm disappointed by this change and not mentioning it.

Ummpf, big bug in last race.

Who was responsible for the tracks in PGRF1-Team?
Normaly checkpoints are wider in race as in quali or training, but someone has
forgotten to consider the special pitexit in AbuDahbi when reworking checkpoints.

Now I know, why my test race was so slow. It was not the crash ...

Anyway - login track is fixed and should work.

TuomoH as only racer can/shall race again - sorry

I just raced in Abu Dhabi. No technical problem occurred, so get out on the track, everyone!

After my 2nd pit stop I crossed the white line at the exit a little bit, but I am lucky, because I have no warnings for that (http://forum.gene-rally.com/viewtopic.p ... 865#p60865).

Uhh, I hope my race was good enough for not losing more than 1pt to Sgroe :D Let's hope. I once had an incident where my lap would not have counted, that costed me 5s, but let's see... :taped:

Well, I'm surprised. Again, it was interesting to watch the race without knowing the result.

Congratulations to the world champion. Well done. :bg:

I also want to say "Thank you" to the team of PGR F1. I really enjoyed my first GeneRally season and I will certainly join other competitions.

See you in the 2012 season!

Congratulations to akouk, well deserved.
Thanks to the PGRF1 team, it surely was a fun season. :cool2: Also thanks for all the participants for being part of fun.

Just a hint for the next season: either get rid of the pitline rule altogether or be much stricter enforcing it in every race. ;)

It certainly was a race that could decide the final outcome. If TuomoH had won then I would have been 4th (if I calculated correctly - penalties out of the equation) and thus I would had lost the championship tie, due to less victories.
So lots of congratulations to TuomoH for the impressive performance in the previus rounds.
PGR team did a superb job!
Congratulations to all other players  , winners  & polemen
Thanks!

I totally agree with what ToumoH said.

From me I would add a hint to choose better teams so team's standings will be interesting.

Thanks for your great praise and hints. :goodvibes:

Every season we learn new things to get better.

At last I would thank all drivers, who take part in this long series,
even if they raced only one time.

Six Drivers missed no Race and completed all 17 Rounds.
Akouk, Kuba, XYY, TuomoH, SGroe and majortom

Dany and Quick Nick missed no Race, but some Qualis.

Reh (16), Buka (13), oleksa (12), VNL (11), doncamillo (10) and Kaiserkoenig (10)
are the next active Drivers.

Early login by Tuomoh results in good chances to find a fault as in last Round.
Other Drivers liked to race just a few minutes before deadline like Reh, doncamillo, Apex (but no problem)

Also big thanks to organization teammate Rudy Oosterndijk (who is still on a journey
with bad Internet conection), XYY for the Car-Design, the trackmakers Maciej1, Bouncebackability,
Black Rebel, Qurpiz and all others I have forgotten. :bg:

Hoping we can make PGR F1 2012 at the end of the year and see all drivers back.

It's been half a year now since Akouk was crowned PGR F1 World Driver's Champion.

Today I want to invite all former and future participants to state their opinion on the 2011 season and to make suggestions about the coming season. I, therefore, uploaded a survey that I would like you to answer.
Please download the file attached to this post, answer the few questions and return the survey via PM or mail.

Thank you very much for your help!

Re: PGR F1 World Championship 2011 [HL/Race] [Login] EVALUAT

Post by Lorenzo »

It’s been probably 900 days or so since that race but as the saying goes, better late than never so maybe it’s time for a few words of explanation.

Well, I’m sorry. My fault is undeniable, it was a stupid and unnecessary thing that shouldn’t have occured and the saddest is that I can’t even deny my cheat wasn’t deliberate because it was. I suppose that „I regret it” and „I’m sorry” are the most fair and sensible words I can write in this matter and I should probably end here, but since you were waiting for this message for so long… I guess you deserve a bit more detailed view.

There are two things that I’d like to mention. The first one that may be important for the organizers of this competition and other drivers who were taking part in it is that I never meant to use the cheat in order to disturb the championship nor to achieve unjust advantage in fighting for a good final position. Even before I was caught I decided this would be my last and only one performance in the season. Actually I don’t know what was the purpose for which I’ve done what I’ve done, probably I must have thought of it as of a “display of power” or maybe a kind of advertisement for my training method I presented in the after race interview – anyway, it was an infantile behaviour but again, it wasn’t aimed against anyone. Therefore I'm sorry if it caused any harm to anyone. And particular apologies for the those who wasted their time on investigation.

The second point is quite positive I think, because I won’t lie if I say that you can be completely sure that was the first and only one deliberate wrongdoing of mine in the international championships and all of my previous performances were perfectly fair, as well as the future ones will be. Again, I send my apology to everyone who were offended by my behaviour and I promise “I won’t do it again” ;)

Regards.
Areen
