I'm really thinking about not to forgive you that "idiot". On the other hand that's somehow a fault of us too. But you still could write a PM and we could find out something to you without any kind of complications.

Anyways we let you login again, cause the .zip you have posted here is invalid in the aspect of the rules (but we will get under consideration when we'll check your new files). And watch your language next time :taped:

Not really my business but I find it strange that as a reward for failing to comply to rules as well as calling the organizer an idiot one gets another login...

Ahem, you organizers didn't take one little thing into account... You should've edited the gr.ini so that a long replay is possible to be saved in full. I just did my login and afterwards started wondering why the .sav file was so small. Well, it only includes the last 10 minutes of racing:
DWMT official gr.ini wrote:; Max duration of recorded replay (seconds). Default: 600
Length = 600
What now? I really wouldn't want to be forced to drive again such a long race. :shake3:

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!

An important pack update has been released. This fixes the issue with the gr.ini file Tuomo has just pointed out.

Download the new updated pack here.

Or, if you can't be bothered to redownload it...
Just make your login and download the zip file prompted. The zip-file now includes a patch to the gr.ini file.

How to patch it?
Just extract the zip file to your main GR directory, and replace gr.ini if prompted. This also copies the official trackfile to your Tracks folder.

For those who have already logged in and did their race...
...well, I'm discussing this issue with Madd Dogg right now, and will soon come up with a decision on what to do with you guys.

Once again, sorry for the inconvenience. :(

EDIT: For those who have already logged in, we have decided that you are allowed to do one more run. We will take the best out of your two attempts for the official results. Sorry once again for the inconvenience. :(

In the case of a driver (more exactly: a person) like LRGP the shame is a bigger penality than a DSQ.
On the other hand an unmissused forgiving can be worthy. That's not some kind of organizer-panic.

And vomiters gonna vomit.

Wow. This was a very long race! After my first couple of stints I got in a good groove and am very happy with my race. The one exception...TK put me in the wall forcing an unwanted pit stop . But I don't know that makes a huge difference over a 100km race. The Indy 500 was just over half the distance and the results were usually very spaced out. I hope I made Liekki Racing proud and am anxious to see the results :).

No save from me. I forgot that is 100km, no 100laps so I ended and crashed my car after 100 lap. Then I rememberd good distance but was too late to go again. Good luck for the rest :)

1. That was tough.
2. I miss oval series.
3. Formula is the best car ever made for GR.

The Dan Wheldon Memorial Trophy [Race] [Login]

Post by nepias »

Mix filling in this race, making here my debut in 3 new ways: first race with the formula car, first enduro race and also my first oval race.
I like a lot driving the car, enduro are fun(as long i dont ruin the loggin) but i would make it a little shorter(around 30m-35m) almost 1 hour is too much in my opinion, and oval was the big surprise for me because oval are not my thing this was the 2º game i drive more laps in oval in all my life(indy 500 old dos game have the record) and i have enjoy more i was expecting.
It was hard but fun.

I have no ideia what to expect as final result, lets see what happends but im hopping that my race place can at least be enougth to please the IE Team crew and give the sponsores the return they expect.
Only negative note is for my lack of rotine with the loggings what ruin me one race(i was expecting it to happend soon or later) somehow i was able to make a race in a track that was deleted and so when i zip the files the track was not there...if it was a 15m race i would not have be to upset, being one 1hour race i was angry with myself because i wasted more that one hour in someting that was not valid.

Race done, as underdog certainly slow for any success, but I kept steady pace in whole length of the race and same with strategy, because in the 348 laps no NWP occurred. :bsmile:

Good luck!

Great, you? :D

The download isn't working for me unfortunately, every time I try to download that MSV100.dll thing my computer freezes and I have to restart. :(

kuba wrote:Well, if you'd look there: http://miskolcracing.comuf.com/competit ... rules.html

you might find a sentence:
After you finished your race, zip the required files, rename it to DMWT_{NICKNAME}.zip and send it to mrf.miskolc@gmail.com.
Also, it's not smart to upload files with saved game in public thread, have you consider to send it resir014 in PM?

P.S. Why did you drove only 260 laps?
I can't look at that without seeing 'DIMWIT'.
