How about stuffs like Formula Drift? A single-lap time trial, will be determined on speed and drift style.

There was that kind of idea, planned by Haruna, actually it would be manageable, but rating drifts should be kinda tough. Maybe you would need third-party person(s) for this. Anyway I think drift-supporting physics are also needed.

Well... I would personally like to see a nascar or oval related competition, with varying distances for example maybe the daytona 75km or the 25km of montreal? So, Super speedways, speedways, ovals, short tracks and road courses, not many, 6 or 7 rounds. I dont know if i can organize anything, would be nice to see.

GRASCAR is one of the historic GR competitions you know... However, it never really adapted to the "login era", staying a false-relaxed-login compo...

Hmmmm... I would be willing to run a full login compo for a GRASCAR-esque, I have built the late models from a while back, and could easily adapt/ re build them into proper NASCAR machines. However, with RSC going down, i have no access to any tracks, particularly ovals, so, If anyone is willing to try and help me get the ball rolling, i.e. with tracks, rules and cars... then I am ready to run or co-run a compo.

What about a mixed set of tracks (some tarmac, some rallycross) cars with a time-trial and hotlap system within the same race?

So the person with the fastest overall time would get points in a time-trial standings, but the fastest lap order would also score points for a different chart? Or would this be too complicated for people? I'm toying with the idea of running a Group N World Series, and it will be at least the mixed tracks with time-trial. Just showing a possible way to make it "different" to all other compos.

Drag Racing anyone? 2 cars in 2 lines fighting for victory in a straight drag racing?

Or maybe Race of Champions-type race where 2 drivers race together in a Super Special Course. 3 heats, first one to 2 wins wins the race. I made a Super Special track but I know someone will make Super SS track better than I.
Y'all, I just woke up... what did I miss?

Original for sure is allowed, UOGRC would *probably* be allowed.

The original cars can be used without permission, and we asked permission from Kory Miller for UOGRC cars. Yes, EdBrasil = Ed Santos.

And your competition proposal is sounding interesting... You just have to tune the length of races nicely. It probably would be the best with short races and maybe 3 tracks/round

Thanks Ed :)
I´ll make thread during weekend ;)
@AleksiNir: 3 races in round would be ok and they don´t have to be that long  just I´m not sure if all 3 will be TT´s, maybe one of them could be R, I´ll have to make some tests :D
thanks all for help :hattip:

EDIT: Now I have all but one permission :trampo: everything looks fine

What do you think about my idea:
GeneRally F1 :cflag:

*TRACKS - real 2010 f1 calendar tracks

*RACE LENGTH - like on real tracks for example Bahrain - 49 laps

*WHEN? between real races

*CARS - 2010 F1 cars - all cars have got same setups

*TACTICS - 1,2 or 3 pit stops (depends tyres use)

NO LOGIN SYSTEM

But that's what makes things interesting - if there's no login, some people are always at the top since they hunt for the perfect race but with login one could get more surprises, I think.

It's time for Monster jam

Post by dead14vii1640 »

This is a track AND competition idea. Please give me some feedback!!!

A few months ago, the great show of Monster jam came to Spain and I went there 'cause I've already played a few games about this kind of "sport".
Just a few weeks ago, I watched the Monster jam World finals on the internet for the 1st time in my life.
Now?? I wanna design a few Monster jam arenas so we can have racing and freestyle competitions.

My questions:
Is there anybody available to "build" about 6/8 arenas??
Does anybody want to have this kind of competition??
If everything is right for the moment, which would be the ideal WS??

Typical competition schedule (GMT +1 times or so):
Friday afternoon: the arena is posted, drivers start with the qualifying for the racing.
Friday night: seeds are announced.
Saturday noon: 1st round, 1/8 finals and 1/4 finals.
Saturday night: Semi-finals, sprint final and the endurance event (8km race or so with 1 pit stop).
Sunday afternoon: freestyle competition: 1st round (60" round).
Sunday night: 8-way final (90" round).

NOTE: I won't compete, I just want to have fun!!!
Power without control is nothing
