Right, an official announcement. The race deadline will again be moved to 23:59 on Saturday, and this will be a permanent move; as a result, I am also cancelling the Taiwan qualifying session, in order to ensure I can run the Taiwan race properly.

So, as I will be on my way home starting at 12-2pm and ETA to my home is 3-4 hours, I might arrive at evening, prob 6pm but I hope there are no jams that I could arrive earlier than that, which I could be there before Sunday 11:59 GMT...

For that reason, plus a higher hope for Team [R]G to perform better and not going to disappoint my own established team, Extra Time taken

OK. There is still a login open for the three or four people who requested extra time, but as it is Sunday, it is time to open the login for the next qualifying session!

Round 3: Race of Spain qualifying

Race start: 8th September, 9 am UK time
Deadline: 14th September, 23:59 UK time. Can be negotiated to being a bit later if required.

If you need to double-check the rules, please do so, but I will remind you that this is a 3 lap session, with no AI, and you have your race time, plus 5 minutes, to submit your session. Please ensure you have downloaded the latest version of the Team's carpack, else you may risk disqualification by not using your car from within that. If there is a website issue at any time, leave it for 5 minutes, and try again.

Made two mistakes off-track:
- Login mistake; logged in but for Q3, not R2, until I read the before login page...
- The most crucial: Connection problems... Using my smartphone as a modem, 3G network, my connection's joker, isn't working well so I was forced to use GSM network, and it loaded my mail so slow, I had to pull the plug off and go mobile

Now I'm not sure if this run of mine, which is totally better than all my trainkng runs, will slingshot the [R]G and myself to the best position possible or will be screwed due to a 5s penalty for late submission...

I shall overlook the Q3 login, as that's a legitimate error (and besides, I overlooked plenty of tests in Q1) and that seems more than a plausible reason for the late submit; as it's the first such incident, there's definitely no penalty to be applied.

Well, 8th at Qualifying and 8th at the race... Top 10 reached, but there's less excitement though... I know I had a good race, and glad that I've mastered this course, but my run could've been better though. And for the screwups outside the race, I hope I won't have to go through that again...

Anyway, where's the audio commentary? It gave me 404 error (you probably haven't uploaded it)...

I may change the car for the final 2 races of the season - Volvo 850 20v and Volvo 960 are considered as options

Im new to this so excuse me for being nooby!

When in practising for the next race with just me on track i can lap low 26's quite confortably, but as soon as i add all the AI to practise the race i lap wayyy slower (27's and 28's).... Is this because of a change that happens when you add AI (the car does feel more slippery) or am i just being worse because of the pressure of other cars on track

you're not driving slower whith AI's on the track, the grip is higher when running alone on track (time trial)
