And here is the latest compo to roll into the NAGRCA stable: the NAGRCA modified tour. This will simulate the excitement of short track racing, using Haruna's Modded Shorty. The will be 7 oval rounds and 3 road course rounds, just to make things a little more interesting. There will be an overall championship, and two sub-championships: oval and road course (surprise, right?
) In each round, there will be three parts that each driver must drive: A hotlap qualifying round (which will set the heats), a heat race, and a main race. All of these will be done in one sitting with a single login. Unlike most compos, qualifying does
not set your starting position. Every race you will be starting from last place. Qualifying is only used to determine who races in which heat. There will be a maximum of 6 heats, with a maximum of 6 drivers. The main will also have 6 drivers. For those of you not familiar with short-track type formats, here's the basic idea: based on qualifying times, drivers are divided up into heat races (top qualifier is in heat 1, 2nd is in heat 2, 3rd in heat 3, etc. until all of the heats have one driver, then the next driver goes into heat 1, and this continues until all drivers are placed in heats). Then, the winner of each heat advances to the main. If there are less than 6 heats, then the fastest qualifying 2nd place drivers will advance, and if all of the second place drivers advance and there is still room, then the fastest qualifying 3rd place drivers will advance. The number of heats will be determined by the number of drivers submitting files. So, if 12 drivers submit files, there will be 2 heats of 6, with the top 3 in each advancing. If there are 15 drivers, there will be 3 heats of 5, with the top two drivers advancing. And so on and so forth.
You will use the AIs supplied in the pack to race against in the heat and main races. Qualifying will be done without AIs. Qualifying is always 3 laps. Heat and main distances will vary depending on the track (race lengths are listed in the schedule).

To sign up, simply post your name, team, number, nationality, car colors (in 000/000/000 000/000/000 format), and email address (you may PM your email to me if you prefer) in this thread. I will send you your login information soon after you sign up. There is a maximum of 4 drivers per team. There will not be team standings for this series.
See the rules page for more details on the rules. For those of you who have raced V8 Supercars, they are essentially the same.
