Meanwhile I'm sitting duck here pondering my worst results and thinking if that final R-Spec program going into the "flop" route...

Perfect use of the joker. Thank goodness. Really need to tighten up on those races and TT's but those battles for third are so close. :D

I know this sounds strange considering I made the next round but Ladu is freaking tough. The best lap is going to be a one off. :scared:

Rendy, don't blame the car, it's a chassis I personally like. If I didn't run SDR you know the R-Spec would be the car of my choice.

And now, for a mid-season review:
Herbal Racing - This team has the strongest driver by far. Maclape, known by the community as "The Matador", he has the highest point total in both Time Trials and Races, though his Hot Lap score is -if only by a small margin- being beaten by Crowella. Herbal's own season has been going fairly decently, with only two out of nine races having gone pointless. Projected strongest driver's championship finish: 1st.

Croatia Racing Team - Alonso has been going remarkably strong so far, but as the season has gone on, he's been forced to play second fiddle without fail to Maclape of Herbal Racing. Lee's a part of the "best of the rest" group so far. Projected strongest driver's championship finish: 2nd.

Scuderia Minardi Jaguara - Both Trigger Happy and Buka seem to be consistent upper-midfield finishers, no surprise considering that (at least to Renee Scarlet) the team has the best car of the bunch. Projected strongest driver's championship finish: 5th.

CardMaster Aola - Despite a disastrous start in the first two rounds, both drivers have begun making quite the rebound back into contention. Though it seems too late for anyone to take the top spot in the Driver's Championship already, Crowella and XYY are proving to be quite the lethal duo. Projected strongest driver's championship finish: 3rd.

Scarlet Devil Race Works - Haruna's had the luck of a good start in the first two rounds. But now his luck is running out, and the real aces in Herbal Racing, SMJ, CRT, and Aola can kick his a*s back to where it belongs: in the bottom half of the pack. Given how badly his form has crumbled in the past under this kind of pressure, it would take a certain miracle for him to stay in the top half of the pack now. Projected strongest driver's championship finish: 9th.

NC Racing - The privateer team using the Scarlet Motors' Maria GT, DanRos showed promise at the start. He still does, but his talent is overshadowed by the high level of competition this season. Projected strongest driver's championship finish: 8th.

Team R-Garage - The R-Spec was (at least to Renee Scarlet) a promising chassis, but with luck never quite on Rendy's side, points have eluded him. While it might be too late for him to catch Haruna in the second half of the season, commitment and hopefully better luck, Rendy may finally find himself scoring consistent points for the rest of the season. Projected strongest driver's championship finish: 10th.
This is just my prediction.

Thanks for the write up Haruna. I suppose the disasters of the first two rounds have wrecked any chance but if I can take the hotlap championship I'll be very content. I have to admit I'm nowhere near as consistent as Alonso or maclape in the TT's or races and I'm really enjoying these battles mid pack. :)

Hoping the best at Ladu. Hopefully my Macau Curse won't affect me in this race, but that means double the struggle for my team. Hopefully I could rise!

It's awesome track, no trouble. :bg:

AIs were bringing more trouble 2 weeks ago at Areen's track. I actually think about the joker for HL here.

A bit belated, as I had no internet connection the previous day, I'm going to tell my opinion about my last race. I had taken risk with selecting Kopeska as a joker track, but in the end it turned out so well, that I could finish (with a bit of luck) fourth, and as such I had a huge boost in my points. ^^ I was happy with my results there, even if I had some troubles with main race.

And another correction from me today: in TT event I have placed DanRos two places higher as his actual result, so the table would look as follows:

Code: Select all

9th 76 Bird 3'51"52 13"77 2pts
10th 38 Rendy 3'51"63 13"91 1pt
11th 86 DanRos 3'55"43 14"04 0pt
Of course the results have also been updated, this table above was added just for clarification.

Out of that, as a side note, I'm also going to post, that there's already one race in my mailbox at the halftime of this login session.

Just made my race. If you other guys have less luck with damage than I just had, I'll probably be not so bad. I only wrecked my car once in the race where it costed me max. 2 seconds, so that was rather lucky. ;)

I had a bad performance in the Hot Lap and Time Trial rounds, so Renee ordered me to park it about halfway through the race and call it quits.

My race is the worst thing ever. I think I'll be competing for last there. I think I'm basically just aiming to take the hotlap competition anyway.

Aww, forgot my race because I was asleep, too many activities that I was too tired to do my race there... I thought I can try to par myself against you guys but sadly I can't...

Why? There's still about an hour to submit a race! Out of that, I need to admit, that I did not train for Ladu either...

Oh okay then, I've done it. :D

Though I hate this race and my run overall, it is because my laps were off-shore. I should've set 14.6x or less there but no. I don't expect anything from this race because I know I will be on the back of the pack in all races.

Except I already took last by pulling into the pits on Lap 14 and never coming out until all of the AIs finished.

Results of Ladu

Notes and penalties
Hotlap
Time trial
Main race
Combined results

See them only on your own risk, if you didn't see replays already!

5th round - Orallio Park

Image

Now at the second half of the championship, we've arrived at our only (at least intended to) fullscreen track, Orallio Park. As the standard resolutions were then 4:3, I had the permission to fill out the remaining spots of the track. The track is going to be wide, ideal for fast and flawless racing. As the half of the field still didn't use up their joker, I guess we are going to have here a tsunami of jesters...
