How many rounds in championship is ideal?

Post by Quklis »

So, how many rounds you like to have in championship? This is about normal competitions with one week per round.

Poll's results may be considered in future competitions ;)

EDIT: not working :?

There's no ideal number of rounds, IMO. It depends mostly on champ. Series like NBR or CompoVeloce should be shorter, series like GTCC and GRASCAR - longer.

But lets say 5-6.

I think optimal is 7, max. about 10-12.

I' very sorry, but ATM we don't know, why polls do not work. :sorry: We're trying to find solution for about 2 last weeks without success.

This depends on the cars and the tracks you want to use. For F1 I think it would be the best to have about 15 events. Touring/stock cars should have about 8-10 events, while other formulas at about 5-8. Little (fun) competitions should have maybe 4-8 rounds. But that's just my thinking, others may think completely different. And of course exceptions exist too. ^^

I think 10 or 12 event is a good solution, like GRASCAR or ToM Compo

The average number of rounds in GR history is 8.4

Longest championship :
- 51 events !!! :eyes:
- Champ. : Gran Prix Category
- Season : 2005
- 19 drivers were classified but nobody took part to the whole season : 48 events for Matheus and Robylu, 17 for Cabral, 12 or less for the other players...
