This is the last day to turn in attempts for the first week! I've also updated the first post with previews for the next Amateur and Expert Level events. Downloads for these races will follow shortly after. Thank you!

EDIT: We're five strong now, one more and SEE how we'll top last season's best attendance.
SEE THAT? We're now six strong, best attendance for Single Exhibition Events! Thanks guys!

No merged replays for the Amateur-Level week 1 race yet, I... uh, forgot to download the latest Save Game Reader and Juan's site is down as of this posting. Help me please? :ouch:

Here are the results though:
Amateur Level - Tarmac Terror Race
Expert Level - The Scarlet Carnival
Congrats to Shuher and Kuba this week!
ps. Robert, you got robbed at the Scarlet Carnival :ouch: Feels bad man
To further elaborate on the Expert Level Chase event this week; your objective was to finish as far ahead of the AI opponent as possible. This is why Kuba won this event, also why you get replays of everyone's attempts rather than a merged replay.
Download links and information for Week 2 will be up in the next hour!

No. 2x 3rd places are ok. Shuher had a weaker opponent in his run. :shhh: In one run, the AI had ''only'' 1.21,67. He ''only'' had luck. ;)

Hell WOW! I guess I was just the only one who tried really hard in TT :bsmile: Anyway, returning was worth it. Looks like I can take some serious GR challenge once again.
I guess kuba just took the wrong car :)

Grats to kuba! I thought it was impossible to overtake that lace witout touching her - she was all over the track. And I thought that section 2.4.1 of the rules says that I can't touch the AI at all... So, I just caught her and finished as close behind, as possible. My bad - didn't read it properly. Anyway - the 1-2 margin was huge - the result would've been the same, probably.

Didn't touch any settings - pure luck. The thing is that "Chase" is not exactly race. Not sure how Jo will classify it BTW...

You know why I got FL in TT? Because I thought it was hotlap event and raced it like it was hotlap. :frying pan:

Anyway, it was my 1000th event ( :yipee: ) so I'm glad to have this FL.

That's why I asked Haruma about it first - the S/F line is in the middle of the hairpin - it makes a huge difference between running HL and TT. Anyway, as it's classic, I think you could've submitted a proper TT after we got the answer...

My mistake, it was an error on my part from not seeing all of the event formats properly (been a while since I organized a competition). See what happens when misinformation is posted by the organizer?

So has anyone done any practice for this week's events? I suppose it's a fairly large leap to be going from souped-up sports cars and mini-size Tourers to rocket-powered tanks and bikes, but I'm wondering what everyone thinks of this week's events so far.

I asked a friend to do merged replays for Week 1, since I haven't been able to solve the trillion Frame Step and All Bad Tracks issue.

You can find them here.

These events are amazing - in first round, drift was fine (personally don't like drifting cars) and Red Bull duel was awesome - catching AI was fun.

The Mexican race was... Mexican - a lot of chaos, especially during landing after "broken wall", IAs getting crazy. The bike race was (was - because I already sent both races to Haruna) spectacular - every attempt I was getting faster - first goal was to beat 240 kph, then 245, then 250 - I stop there, you see when I ended on Sunday.

Good luck guys and remember to drive safe.

As Tony once told me, the thing about driving them is that to win you should NEVER actualy DRIFT :D

I've got a question for Haruna again - do I have to start from P6 in pro race?

Section 2.2 of the rules states that you must start from the last position unless otherwise stated. Since they don't state otherwise, you must start 5th (out of five) for the Amateur event and 6th (out of 6) for the Expert event.

A day and a half left to send your files for this week's SEE races. I've received files from Shuher, Kuba, and DanRos so far. Let's keep the full attendance going!

Mexican race forced me to recall the beauty of non-login events :bomb: You didn't make the first corner fast enough - hit ESC and re-run. You did bad landing after the broken wall - hit ESC and re-run. You touched a fence - hit ESC and re-run. Sweet (not really, to be honest :shake2: )

Expert race was much more fun. Although I didn't have enough patience to follow Kuba's path and stopped earlier than him.

I'm going to spend more time tracing down my problem with the Save Game Reader. I'll be doing a total reformat of the hard drive and backing up important files. This is going to delay the creation of the next event's game packs and the posting of this week's results, so I have pushed back the starting date by two days.

No fancy results presentation this time, but merged replays ARE here!

Amateur Level Event Results:
[code] Driver Type Car Pos. Points Laps F.Lap kph Time Gap
kuba Human Taipan 1 0 Finish 24.26 145.30 02:04.38 ---
Shuher Human Taipan 2 0 Finish 24.77 143.10 02:06.29 +1.91 s

DanRos Human Taipan 4 0 Finish 25.27 138.97 02:10.04 +5.66 s
RobertRacer Human Taipan 5 0 Finish 25.38 138.07 02:10.89 +6.51 s

Best lap: kuba - 24.26 seconds
Margin of Victory: 1.91 seconds
Notes: Gzehoo; "before the start of the race" means when the track information (lap records, etc.) are being presented. You need a screenshot from that point, not while the lights are going out. No penalty since it still marks the start of the attempt.
