Yes, for sure, thanks
Re: Winter Challenge 2015 [R] [HL] [Login] Round 1
I have a small and a big question, before I sign up:
First: What is the starting order for races?
Second; and this pertains to my experience with puttz's NAGRCA V8 Supercars Season 4: If during my login window I accidentally forget to pack one of the mandatory files (track; screenshot; save), then promptly sent it to you upon realising this(which with NAGRCA V8 Supercars Season 4 was the day the results were posted), would you still accept it? As the fact you would have received the other files within the login window, matched with the missing file, would prove I actually did my login attempt as designated, and I usually keep my files in the state left after the login attempt for a while after the championship is over. If this is not possible to rectify the results in this way then can you explain why? (As puttz did rectify his results before when my login runs first were discovered in his spam folder.) As I would think that the rules and spirit of GeneRally competitions are to facilitate as many (fair) drivers on the track as possible, and the bigger, and fierce the grid, the better. What I am looking for here is reassurace; or at least wariness of the situation.

Re: Winter Challenge 2015 [R] [HL] [Login] Round 1
For races the starting order is player in the pole, AIs elsewhere .
Well if you forget to pack something and you send it later there will be time penalty. If you don't send it at all then I'm sorry but you will be disqualified.
Of course I'd love to see as many drivers as possible but they need to stay in the border set by the rules. I hope it explains.

Re: Winter Challenge 2015 [R] [HL] [Login] Round 1
By "later" do you mean after one's login timeframe or the round deadline?
I just don't understand, if the files sent within the login window matched with the missing file show that I actually raced within the timeframe, why that would still need to be penalized, since the only concern of login rules is to simulate one attempt.
Anyway, I've e-mailed you my sign up credentials now. Please let me know if it passes your spam filter, since puttz had trouble accepting my e-mails.

Thanks for entering, yes it got stuck in the spam...

The file details can be changed (edited) by some tools. So the fact, that the details of delayed file are fitting to those details of files delivered on time, doesn't guarantee the delayed one wasn't manipulated anyhow.ACM wrote:I just don't understand, if the files sent within the login window matched with the missing file show that I actually raced within the timeframe, why that would still need to be penalized, since the only concern of login rules is to simulate one attempt.
My GR Racing Stats; thanks to GWR!

Something around 50 hours until the deadline . Be sure to make your races .

Re: Winter Challenge 2015 [R] [HL] [Login] Round 1
After test sending e-mails against two other personally known receivers, the only consistency I realise is gmail doesn't like my current domain. I'm afraid you'll have to put up with checking your spam folder for each of my runs; unless you add my domain to your safe senders list and see if that works. (Which by the way, I just sent you my runs.)

It worked this time ACM .
5 races recived . Less than 24 hours until deadline .

Re: Winter Challenge 2015 [R] [HL] [Login] Round 1
So, I made the 1st Round. The race was good, but the Hotlap wasn't very good, because I trained ON THE WRONG TRACK! (I trained on Hakkarata, which had the Number 1 in the Track order instead of Sjörebakken )
BTW, @XYY, @Rudy: I think, you'll score the points for the team.

It seems you still had the old pack.... My first round was pretty average, the race for which I trained less was better than expected, the HL was worse, but in case it's a tie in the HL, I have good chances.

Ough, I'll give it shot tonight shortly before the deadline. I mean it's the Formula. I have rarely driven anything else from the original car pack, so I should do OK, I hope.RobertRacer wrote:BTW, @XYY, @Rudy: I think, you'll score the points for the team.
Re: Winter Challenge 2015 [R] [HL] [Login] Round 1
Of course I got a AI that I had to lap after he pitted on my login run . Didn't lose much time but i'm thinking this competition will go down to the wire in every event so we'll see...
TR by 0.02 in the HL event so i'm happy with that one

Re: Winter Challenge 2015 [R] [HL] [Login] Round 1
13 drivers out of 17 signed up already raced very nice to see .
I did my runs as well quite satisfied but no idea how competitive I'll be after a comeback ...

Re: Winter Challenge 2015 [R] [HL] [Login] Round 1
login done but no buono for me, +0.1s in HL and -1.0kph in Race than my best practices
I repeatedly made an error at the first corner in Casedure and I can't explain it, since I never committed it while training

Re: Winter Challenge 2015 [R] [HL] [Login] Round 1
Wow, first time a login after a myriad of years and everything went wrong.
The Hot Lap was OK. I expected a high 8.5x, which didn't quite work out as planned. But that's still good to me. Then I hit a couple of sunks in the race, but I don't mind.
In the end, I wanted to upload the zip as an attachment via Thunderbird but the computer froze when I picked the file from inside the Windows pop-up box. I had still plenty of time left, though, so I restarted and tried again. Computer froze again. Another restart and I pushed the file into my public dropbox folder.

That's what I thought as well, maclape I got into the low 8.6x in practise, but in my login I lost 0.16 to my practise time....
