To the one who put road cone on the pit-lane entrance, please hit yourself in the face as hard as you can!

I had decent race until going to the pit-lane - I have hit the indestructible road cone and totally lost my concentration (because who on earth would put it there?) and back on track I wasn't able to maintain concentration and got damage and had to pit again...

After 5 laps I realized I was on practice track... Hope I won't get late submit penalty...

That would be me then. :frying pan: Before last year's GP I copied this idea from maciej's Silverstone to save you from all the penalties for short-cutting into the pits. ;)

And now the German Grand Prix and a tiny track update!
Who sits on pole after what seems to be the hardest Qualifying of the year?

I'm finding using the wet conditions to be so much more difficult... I'm completely not used to it. Did several test runs (5 laps with given settings).
Got around 23.30 as my best lap on average over those test runs, the best result being 22.88, but every time there were parts that could be greatly improved on... sub-22.50 should be possible to get on a good run, but it's not really happening so far.

I might do my Q run tonight if I'm feeling a little more confident. :P

Edit: Yep, sub-22.50 turned out to be possible. I have no idea, but I intend on actually scoring maybe a point or two on the race. :cool2:

If you manage a sub 22.5 on your login run you'll be putting Verstappen F1 debut to shame. That should be enough for a Top 5 grid spot :bg:

Please don't get your hopes up. I've only had one single sub 22.5 lap (out of probably ~100 laps I've done so far). My average best lap is around 23.1 ish I think, I'll be very happy with a sub-23 on my login run. I don't know how well of a spot that will bring me though as I have no clue how skilled you guys are exactly ^^

Not a secret, just make some laps on a track few rounds ago and compare with our submitted Q times. Then you'll see if one or two points in race for you are realistic or actually a pessimistic estimation for yourself. :)

Edit: I misunderstood. My main problem at the moment is that I think I'm a terrible driver on wet tracks. I'll have to race more wet tracks and look for Qs on them. Thank you!
Currently I'm hoping for a top 10 spot for Q as well as the race. It would be nice to start off with points. :goodvibes:

So after a lot of mediocre and average runs, I decided to just go for it a couple minutes ago. Interesting how nervous I get when it starts to count - even though it's only a Q. Having a lot of fun! The submission system is, if you set things up beforehand as much as you can, actually pretty easy.

Made 22.54 on my third lap, so I'm very happy! :goodvibes:

All things considered, this sounds and looks like a very promising debut. I'd wish there were more drivers to return from their summer vacations. Your result would be even more impressive. :bg:

Greatest debut in PGR F1 history?
No, I think Senna has done better in Brasilian GP last season.

But third place is a great result for your first qualifying. :bg:
Keep on like that @Aluce.

I forgot to make login in qualifying, but I'll be back in race to attack for the win at my home grand prix in Germany!

Honestly, I think I was lucky. It was, I think, the third best lap I've driven on that track in total - and I've practised a fair bit. Perhaps part of it is performing well under pressure, but still - I was originally merely going for sub-23 (which, to my own surprise, would've landed me on spot #6 already, which wouldn't be too bad!). Thank you!

Now to hope I won't mess up badly on the race. I do tend to make big mistakes in longer runs. At least I already have one point. :D

Look at XYY, he has scored more points in quali than in race. :D
One of the main points is, to put yourself under a not so heavy pressure.

Looks like one week break was a mistake. It's very difficult to return to the previous rhythm with two events per week, and not only for me :shhh:

The participation decreased, that's true - maybe even before the break: 20, 20, 18, 17 - Break - 13, 16, 12. But it always does after a break, which might be the case because it somehow disrupts your rhythm. And I guess, those drivers that have expected some better results for themselves just don't feel like coming back or forget about it.

So in the end I wonder if the results of all the surveys over the years (rather one break than a more of them or than no break at all) were just flawed. Or if the decrease is inevitable regarding the number of events in this compo.

What about 151.5 Kph with 20.29 as fastest lap from pits?
Good for points?
Or better for the back?

I just did my race. It went kinda poorly. Made some errors in varying degrees, and the AI on last place was being troublesome when 1-lapping him, made me lose several seconds I think.
Nonetheless, fun race! I think I did too poorly to match up to my qualification, but I'm curious about the results. ^^

I'm not glad as well.
Didn't beat my Kph mark from the best training race.
I was one kph under it in login. :ill:
Just because I had some lapping problems and crashed into the pit wall, but luckily I didn't damage the car.
I lost three seconds that lap and perhaps 0.5 to 1 kph and a top 5 result at my home grand prix.

Mszoustus seems to be the favourite for winning the race in Germany. :bg:
