Race finished.
Classifications updated.

And now, despite of the fact we have one more race to do (Le Mans 10h), I want to invite you for a discussion about Global Endurance Masters.

At this moment I can comfirm following things:

1. Due to plans about rally manager in 2019, I'll move GEM manager much later (probably 2019/2020).

2. In case of race distance discussion - I'm not going to make races longer than 120 minutes.

3. Upgrade system and Open Prototype Specification are going to be changed.
-> I'll resign from tyres upgrade to introduce random tyres compounds.
-> Instead of physic points, every team will be able to buy parts for the car (Aero Pack, Steering, Engine, Gearbox).
-> Constructor's budget will be introduced to distinguish teams and constructors. Upgrades made by constructor and by team (also factory!) will be independent.

If you have any other ideas for Global Endurance Masters' future - you can write them here.

First 1-2 :D . Awesome weekend for Wulff...

1st and 2nd points I'm completely fine with.
3rd needs a bit clarification...
- Proposed upgrade system will be better I think.
- Tyre compounds can be tricky, but you probably already have a plan for that. So no complaints there...
- The budgets... That will be interesting... So as I see it, teams and constructors will be able to upgrade different parts? Not sure at this point...

On a side note:
The cars balance will be needed to change somehow IMO... As this season Vertigo, and after W&G update, dominated mostly because of their ballance (0.75). Its only because of weight penalties that Wullf was able to beat them in the last 2 races, as their balance is "0.73".

About 3rd point:

Upgrades are going to include changes in:
-Air Resistance
-Downforce
-Power
-Top Speed
-Balance
-AI Value

So for the next season we probably would avoid a situation with random balance - everyone will start with the same value (e.g. 0.65).
Also, balast system will be removed - or introduced in OP1 for factory teams.

About constructors - it's like Wulff upgrades e.g. engine or gearbox and allows its teams (factory and satellites) to buy each part with lower price.
Constructors will be able to upgrade some parts before teams so they will know what they could buy during upgrade window.
Independent constructions will be also in use, with upgrades.

I didn't think too much about satellite teams as in this season 3 teams created their own cars, while another two just used independent construction.
But I must be prepared in case of situation someone is going to cooperate.

Okay, understood.

Though I thought that you'd allow constructors to upgrades cars from the start, like this season.
OP TECHNICAL REGULATIONS wrote:GREEN – Physic Points
Every constructor has 15 physic points.
They can be used to change Air Resistance, Downforce and Power.
Every 1 physic point is:
–0.01 to Air Resistance
+1 to Downforce/Wings
+2 to Power
Maybe add balance to that list. This way there will be some variety from the start...

Classifications updated.

OP3 cars balast after Zandvoort 4h:

Code: Select all

Vertigo Kurumi +75kg (18 Balance Points)
W&G Prosion +75kg (18 BP)
Wulff 717F +50kg (16 BP)
Team budgets updated.

And now... we're going with another - and last in this season - Upgrade Window.

Deadline for Upgrade Window #10 is at 7th October so you have now 2 weeks to upgrade your car.
Rules are the same as always.

Hope to see every team upgrading its car.

Qualifs for Le Mans 10h will start tomorrow at 18:00 UTC +1, so you will be still able to upgrade your car.

Le Mans 10h

8th October:
Q1 - 18:00 UTC+1
Q2 - 18:30
Q3 - 19:00

As I'm not able to make 10h race during one day, and I want to give my PC a little rest, race will be made during next 6 days.

10th October - OP3 drivers (33rd-46th)
12th October - OP2 drivers (17th-32nd)
14th October - OP1 drivers (1st-16th)

At 10th October, 19:00 UTC +1, you can expect results of OP3 category, so you'll also know the first champion of GEM 2018 ;)
The same with OP2 (12th October) and OP1 (14th October).

By the way...

What do you think about Discord communication for this manager?
Of course, any info on GRIF will be still published.
