As I'm running drivers starting from last positions, only OP1 class left to run, but you can see OP3 results now.

Okay, as I can see Wulff is 2-3 car right now... Clearly Vertigo is the team to beat in OP3... BUT A WHOLE LAP BEHIND?!?! I don't want this to be A COPY OF F1!!!

Anyway, congrats darkracer99 :)

I'm shocked for the fact that everyone in the OP3 class finished a whole lap behind.
Also I don't want this to be a copy of F1 :worried: :worried:

Perhaps some Balance of Performance or some sorts of leveling should be implemented.

As I saw every car, darkracer99 set the balance in his Vertigo Kurumi to 0,75 while Marco uses 0,735 in Wulff 717S.
Default OP3 cars (Ligier and Norma) has 0,7.
It may give an advantage on other teams about having better steering.
But it's also about using physic points. Constructors used them however they wanted.
Darkracer99 just made the best car on the grid.

Also remember that only one driver finished 1 lap before everyone. 2nd driver had only 1s advantage on 3rd.

Anyway, everything can happen during the race - especially because every driver makes his race with neutral AI which simulates overtaking/overlapping.
In OP1, one of Toyota drivers was 6th and lost 2 laps to other factory drivers because he crashed 5 times with neutral AI who didn't drive through pit limiter correctly, and Toyota almost lost with privateers.

It's not that I'm not thinking about Vertigo's domination - I just want to wait for another race and see if their drivers can still be on top of the race.
If yes - I'll think about BoP system.

E.g. in MotoGP constructors takes concession points for every podium (1st - 3p, 2nd - 2p, 3rd - 1p).
After collecting 6 concession points they cannot upgrade their engines during current and next season.

But in this case, after collecting e.g. 10 concession points, I'd add +50 to car mass.
Currently it's 1000, after another Vertigo's double victory, Kurumi's mass will be 1050.

April fools :P
ANNOUNCEMENT!

Due to Vertigo Racing's domination, I decided they will start from pit lane during Anderstorp 4h race, no matter about its result in Qualifs.

But this time more serious:

1. Balance system may be introduced during 3rd race of the season (Kyalami 4h).

Every constructor (including Ligier and Norma!) will be collecting "balance points" (BP) by every single driver on podium.

For the 1st place in the race, constructor will collect 3 BP, 2nd place - 2 BP, 3rd place - 1 BP.
It means that e.g. Ligier may get 6 BP for all 3 drivers in TOP3.

After collecting 6 BP, each constructor will get a balance +50kg (current car's weight is 1000 in OP3).
Balance will be added after collecting every 6 points, so in case of getting 12 BP, constructor will get +100kg balance.

2. I was going to introduce also continental endurance series (European, Asian, American).

Rules may be the same as GEM, but every of these series will organize 2h races (20 minutes), with exception of final race which will be 6h (60 minutes).

In these continental series, we would see only LMP2 and GTE cars.
The winner of GTE continental series may go to GEM OP3, while the winner of LMP2 continental series would go to GEM OP2.

While not very fair to the leaders, at least it'll give others a chance...

Though I'd recommend, maybe from 2nd season, control the balance value, because I do believe that's s the main factor in Vertigo's dominance. Maybe higher balance value = more weight? Just my suggestion, anyway...

About continental championships...
Could I (Wulff Motorsport) have a OP3 (OP2 or 1) team in GEM and a GTE team in, let's say, Europe at the same time?

It will be possible to have a team in GEM and continental series in the same time.
It would be something like academy/junior team (however team will decide) giving each driver a possibility to participate in global series.

EDIT: But to not confuse at this moment many series, I'll focus only on GEM.

Kyalami 4h

UPDATE 1: I decided that additional balast for Vertigo will be 25kg, as 50kg is too much.

UPDATE 2: Q3 will be at next day; I decided to make them too late

UPDATE 3: Qualifs finished. S. Kimura (Wulff) had to repeat his attempt due to timer failure, but it didn't change his result.

Results from Kyalami 4h uploaded.
Classifications and tem budgets updated.
Vertigo Racing will get this time +50kg balast after collecting 15 balast points.

Also, I decided to change the rule about car balance - now every user's car constructor (Vertigo, Wulff, W&B) can set it only between 0.70 - 0.75.
At this moment, W&G doesn't apply this rule, so please update your car.

PS: I'm going to write longer post later about some ideas.

Re: Global Endurance Masters 2018 - Manager Competition

And now, I want to introduce some ideas for the GEM future.

1. CALENDAR
I was going to extend calendar for 12 races, introducing another 4h race and Suzuka 10h race as the final round.
In this case, calendar would look that:

1. 4h race
2. 4h race
3. 4h race
4. Sebring 10h
5. 4h race
6. 4h race
7. 4h race
8. Le Mans 10h
9. 4h race
10. 4h race
11. 4h race
12. Suzuka 10h

Every team may be able to start with additional driver during 10h race (Sebring, Le Mans, Suzuka) and one 4h race (e.g. if it's team's home race).
2. CONSTRUCTOR BUDGET
In addiction to team's budget, I want to introduce constructor's budget.
It will be independent from team's budget, and only in case of any user is going to participate as team manager and constructor.
Every team (also factory!) will be paying for constructor to get any upgrade..
Even if constructor will be limited about upgrades (look next point), team will be able to take upgrades, bought already by constructor.
3. UPGRADES
At this moment there is balast system which adds every 25kg for car's mass.
From the next season, it will be replaced by concession points (the same as in MotoGP).

1st place - 3p
2nd place - 2p
3rd place - 1p
Points are collected by every driver in each car.

After collecting 6 points, constructor won't be able to upgrade its car during the season.
If constructor collected 12 concession points during the season, it won't be able to upgrade its car also during another season.
But he will be able to use more physic points at the start of the season, depending on its results.
In this case, Vertigo wouldn't be able to upgrade its car, but may get more physic points to use before next season.

NOTE! It's about constructor, not team!

Also, after testing many parameters during my personal rally manager, I was going to add also AI Value and Top Speed as buyable parameters.
4. FACTORY/SATELLITE TEAMS
In this season we didn't have this problem as 3 managers decided to create its car, while another 2 used independent construction (Ligier JS P3).

As 2019 season will be 2nd season of Global Endurance Masters (GEM), every constructor will be able to introduce 1 or 2 cars, with random specifications (factory or satellite).
Constructor may decide about giving factory or non-factory car for its satellite team.
Also, every team using each car will start from 0; factory will be able to buy some physic points cheaper than satellite.

Factory may decide about restrictions with non-factory car (e.g. increased Mass, Power restriction).
5. OTHER THINGS
I was going to remove extended starting grid - at this moment there are 46 tracks with random starting positions. From next season, every class would start on the same positions (1-16), no matter about other category.

Also, I wanted to remove tyre upgrade (where you can decrease tyre wear in-game) and replace it with many tyre compounds (Soft-Medium-Hard), which may be selected for each track, the same as Pirelli in F1.
If you have any other ideas about GEM - write. I want to know your opinions.
