Heat

Post by Buka »

+40 degrees (Celsius) and will be more. My brains melts. In winter we talked about snow. Now lets talk about heat? What countries suffer from it? And what you do about it?

Some days ago the all-time record on hottest temperature in Finland was broken, 37.2 C degrees (99 F) I think. It had been over 30 degrees for several days, but now for few days "only" 25C.

I don't actually even like summer. Too sunny, too hot. I hate sun. **** the sun! I wish it would be winter and about -5 to -7. Perfect ice hockey weather. :yummy:

-25C isn't so bad afterall. :D -30 is the maximum I can take.

Poor you Buka. :sorry:

2 weeks ago we had here 28°C at midnight one day and during the days was bloody hot -over 35°C (both values of official temperatures measured in shadow 2m above the ground from close station). Fortunately now is cold here now (23-25°C). :heyea: But if I take in consideration the building, where you live (that construction often multiples temperature, mainly top floors), I'm really scared about you and your family (mainly if you have a small child or very old ancestors). :?

I read few days ago about situation in Moscow, where hot is several weeks(!) around 38°C and even extreme smog caused by fires of peatbogs in suburb forests. Total hot in houses, but with no hope from outside - one hour of breathing of the air on streets there is equal for lungs to smoking 40 cigarettes ....

 Well, +25 is fine for me: you can stay in t-shirt inside and outside and you still don't suffer for the high temperature. I enjoy it more than like 0-5 degrees.

It was pretty hot the whole July and the last weeks of June too. I really couldn't get anything done during the 30+C days. So now I'm a month behind in the (imaginary) music creation schedule...

I once forgot my keys and had to wait dad 4 hours at -15 -20 and I had a light coat, jeans and shoes... Nothing wrong happened... I call the -30C mark "cold" and above 10C for me is Hot... For sleeping, I like having 5 to 10 Celsius and for computer time I prefer 15 to 20... Otherwise, when out door, I don't mind if it drops up to -40C... :goodvibes:

Wasn't this topic supposed to be about the heat? :really:

Anyway, until I went to St. Louis for college two years ago I had practically never been in anything below 5C... I had to buy mostly new clothes >_> For people where I'm from, 50F/10C is quite cold :cool2:

47°C is the hottest I've faced and been in. We once had 3 days in a row of 43°C and the whole week was above 40°C. Typical Australian weather and this is around Sydney.

Right now I'm enjoying days around 10-18°C. Perfect weather for sports and that :bg:

80°c is a perfect temperature for sauna. Outside now something like 20-25 is nice.
