I'm looking for some tiny scale (1:144 scale or below) Le Mans race cars and I can't find anything. At all.

Saw this on ebay, there's a 917K, a GT40, a Matra 660 and what looks like a Ferrari 512S and it still has a few days on it:

I wanted to know if you know a free video editing program.

It's for my own race car, I only want to be able to :

- cut the video length
- add a text in the beginning (monza, 3rd race ... )
- add the image of all the sponsor at the beginning. To thank them.

I allready know Windows movie maker, but he always destroy the sond quality.

Sony Vegas can do all that, but if you want to remain a law-abiding citizen you'll have to pay €200 to buy it if you can afford it.
Spoiler: show
Of course, you could always Image it but I heard there's a strike system in France.

The latest saga of the local Model Railway Exhibition has just been run and done. This year, I will finally have a video for it. Hooray.

At the same time I made the most of the very low prices at some trader stands and have been purchasing in my new scale and region (N, Japan). Reason for the change? The stock and buildings by Kato, Tomix, Micro Ace et al. will prove to be cheaper than British N locos.

I have a few photos posted on my mobile uploads folder on Facebook, which shall be reuploaded onto Photobucket shortly. In the meantime, you can join in the fun with my new FB page called... surprise surprise, "I Like Trains": http://www.facebook.com/pages/I-Like-Trains/141919435932361

Get the word out there, it welcomes 1/1 and lower scale fans. :)

Yet another closely dated post, but since I'm the only one who contributes regularly, I guess that's the nature of it.

Put together a 37 minute video of the local Model Railway Exhibition that was on a few weeks ago. Plenty of fun and trains inside.

Also, it's now the beginning of a new era, as the N scale layout has begun construction!

And... a picture for picture's sake.

Post Re: Hobbies
The following is an edited copy-paste job from an N-scale forum. My new layout, Kobayashi, is moving along nicely.

Time for an update (not much of one, but still plenty to report on).

Image
An update to the pro chalkboard design.  Only to incorporate the ideas we had discussed at the end of the last time the boards came out.

Image
Main line curve end, bit of a clearer photo now.  With some very handy second-hand track now available (an amount that could fill this project two or three times over), it's nearly all systems go.  But first, it was determined to have one final check on bits needed.  The diamond crossover section was the only issue that presented itself so far, so some solution will be needed to correct that.

Image
Station end (yours truly on the right).  It was all straightforward measuring this part, as it took in a fair bit of straight track.  I finally managed to coincide my visit with the stock I plan to use.  The EF510 and 20 Series coaches (bah, close enough) all fitted into the measurements from last time.  In fact, too well, as the Budd coach overcompensated by at least 2 coach lengths when doing the markings last time.  That's OK, that just makes it a bit more flexible to train lengths at the station.

As a bonus, please feel free to watch my latest stock playing adventures, with a camera mounted on a container wagon for a few videos at other WA-based layouts.

Unusually, I have a car update...

I've built an SLK!

Image
Image

Why? Umm, no particular reason...

Image

Moving onto these modified beauties, the new Monaro bodies have been shaped into something resembling something more like my sort of thing. My thanks to Kev for taking on the tough work...

Image

Also, in other news hobby related, my RC cars are now for sale. Rather short-lived "career" of barely over a year, but god it was fun whilst it lasted.

I acquired a bridge. But no ordinary bridge...

Scratch built by a local club member (I shall endeavor to find his name), his main interest was actually to scratchbuild bridges in modular units. Wooden trestle bridges, steel girder bridges, you name it he done it. As he's now vacated a property, his works moved to the local club in search of homes to go to. I only had a small offering available, so was surprised somewhat to get the nod.

Measuring the bridge, it stands at 40cm tall and is no shrinking violet length wise at 165cm (that's nearly as tall as I am...). On it stands a Class 153 (it's had very little running lately, so got put in place as a display for now).

I've also expanded my fleet of N scale stuff with another EF510 and the DD51 is now in operation as the other end was completed ready for working trains.

Image
EF510 heading a container train.

DD51 with non-standard plough and coupler in place.

I also have many model train photos at the I Like Trains FB page now, so the link for that album is: http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.153402641450707.4160.141919435932361&type=1

This is more an hobbies than an Funny video for me, so I post here.

this person reminds me of my grandfather, he had learned more than half of what I today know about the mechanics and engineering. and those, between my 6 and 12 years. The amont of things that I could have learned with him. I prefer not to think about... to better illustrate, I inherited 16 cars, 4 planes, 3 speedboats and 1 helicopter... most of them selfmade! So I continue to learn, a little bit at school, a lot on my own, i'm just to curious to do like my classmates. :rip: Opa

i hope you will enjoy this video as I enjoyed it.

I got hold of something that could equally fit here or the Otaku thread (at a stretch). Arii is certainly not a very commonly seen name in Australia, so took the opportunity to grab their EF66 kit and convert it into legitimate model railway usage. The project begins!

Well, I can definitely show what it looks like as of this week! :D

Insulated wheels are now installed and just waiting to make up the copper pickup strips for the unpowered bogies and also adding some weight/strength to the chassis, then it's good to go.

Unavoidable to be honest, the blue paint was going to go under the masking tape regardless. Anyway, no one in this part of the world will ever know. :P
