Also I think Portugal is far more superior team than Germany at this moment and with Reus injured I don't think the German team will win the group. Also I don't think that an AFC team will pass the Group Stage.
Group C is lottery. Everyone can pass. Greece may surprise, Ivory Coast has Toure in form (with Modrić the best midfielder at the moment IMO), For Japan you never know and Colombia is much weaker without Falcao. Yes, they have Ramos and others but they lost a man who can make a miracle and score from nothing.

Portugal will have CR7 against Germany but he is injured and it is question how much he can give. On the other side, Germany is always strong, no matter what. They still have incredible defense with Lahm and Hummels and midfield with Kross, Schweinsteiger, Ozil. In attack there are Muller, Klose and very good Schurlle. They play like a team and they have the best counter attack. At least they had. Ghana can conquer Portugal and can be dangerous for everyone. They did not have any injuries so that is another + for them.

That first half was a good start then I was fuming about that penalty. Neymar didn't even play close to his best yet still got two pretty lucky goals and man of the match? What about Oscar? I thought he had a great match and his goal was nicely placed.

I feel sorry for Croatia. The score doesn't reflect how well they played. Maybe a loss was going to happen but 3-1 makes it sound worse than they did.

I was not really rooting for either team but after the penalty call I was really rooting for Croatia. Anywho, I think Brazil's passing in the 2nd half was poor, and hopefully for them they will be playing better by the time the knockout stage starts.

And here's hoping USA can pull something off and make it past the group stage. One can hope!

Croatia played a good football, even thought i felt Brazil was doing a better job (but not playing as it should). Everybody knows Oscar was the best player on the field, he dind't loss a single dispute.

I agree about the penalty, it was absolutely NOTHING. Unfortuantelly for Croatia, the referee was terrible and fell for Fred crappy act.

Yeaah, the referee(s) was underperforming handing out wrong side throws, giving free kicks for hand balls even when it was a face ball.. And then the penalty kick. Too bad the game got killed because of that, it was a good match and Croatia could have kept it even until the end. As for the player of the game, I'd say either Oscar or that Croatian player who just kept on giving those great crosses to the goal all the time.

But it was great to see that flashy brazilian game again. :)

I have to agree. Watching Brazil made me excited. A great team to watch, every time. :D

Well I am debating whether to wake up early to watch Spain vs Netherlands before watching Australia get absolutely demolished by Chile. *sigh*

Problem is I have 9 hours of work PLUS a game of football myself. Wake up at 5am, watch both matches, work at 10am, play football, work, get home at 10pm. :coffee:

Also worst because I normally watch all the matches that Germany play too. Klose with the potential to set records. :goal:

Way better to discuss the WC here in the forum. Here in Brazil, its impossible to say anything in favor of our team.

If Brazil loses, it's because the team it's not good enought.
If Brazil wins, it's because the the game was bought.

Seriously, our national squad have no value here because people tend to associate it to the government and their flaws. They even forgot that the same referee made severel mistakes against Brazil last WC.

Mexico 0-0 Cameroon
But the referees "made" this score. Hope they won't make the final score by next mistakes.
But I think Mexico will win.

EDIT: Mexico win! Very nice mach and fantastic actions from Mexicans Bravo!

I got warned by Ivo so I have to be careful this time. My sincere apology to all yellow-raced people.

Niko Kovač said it all. I am so angry and speachless at the moment. Shame on FIFA and Nishimura!

I don't want to discuss about other controversial decisions (Croatian disallowed goal and Brazillian 3rd goal).
Ahmatov would've been much better choice for the referee in this match. Proensa too (the best referee in the world at the moment IMO). I thought I would never say this but even Webb would do a better job
Nishimura should perform harakiri.

Neither do I - I've never seen Spain so weak before. The last time La Roja was out in a WC Group Stage was in 1998.
