Here's mine, starts with the very hit of Metallica


Me and my girlfreind were at NovaRock in Austria, 2009. First day after Disturbed, Slipknot and Nine Inch Nails Metallica was playing last. But we decided to go to sleep instead cause of the storm what came immidiately.
It was one of the heaviest rains I ever saw and it was dark... dark as hell. And we could not find our tent. I was so scared so I let my gf in a shelter while I tried to find the tent. There was sooo many water and the dust turned into deep mud. I asked everyone about our place (the only thing I could remember was a Bulgarian flag near). And than I realized that I cannot even remeber where I left my girlfriend. And when I got lost I heared Metallica was playing - at least
I heared Nothing else Matters when I finally could find out where I am and where I should go.

Another difficult one to pick. This one reminds me of the time when Friday night involved turning on the old ASTRA analogue box and tuning into Germany's MTV2 Pop (Friday night because it specifically orientated around the Eurodance/Italodisco style things). A lot of my playlist originates from the 2001 and 2002 years thanks to this. Of course, there is now no such thing as a good music channel.

There's another two songs I could have picked, but want to see if another category comes up for them.

In the mid 90s this song's intro was the theme of the news on the local TV in my hometown, Miskolc.
So Europe - Final Countdown cannot remind me of anything but Miskolc.

This reminds me of the trip to Rhodes, Greece in... 2007, when this song was on the top. Obviously they don't play this kind of music in Finland, so I had missed it completely. Then I heard it in Greece. The funny part was that they never showed who did the song or what was the title... So I had to do so much hit and miss search on the song when I got back to Finland. I was searching with Tio & Tia, which obviously didn't bring back the right results, since the song is called Teo & Tea. Made by Jean Michel Jarre...

@Doorslammer: Yeah, that old german euro dance was just great. I also used to watch some sort of top 40 dancefloor hits back then, and those lists were filled with such great hits.. We'll see if I get to list them here at some point.
