How did you decide your nick?
Re: How did you decide your nick?
School. The fifth grade or so.
It's recess time, and I lack ideas for a universal username for all things online that allow a name. So I scrambled my name from "Alex" to "Axle" and slapped "Max" on the front because it sounded cool.

Re: How did you decide your nick?
I explained the origin of my nickname in the topic called "Those names..." so you can check it there.
Just one thing about this topic: you're ALL nuts!!!
I mean, the origin for some nicknames are pretty "unique" and most of them just confirm we're all just a bunch of freaks.
PS: DXTR, did you create THIS topic 'cause I explained the origin of my nickname in "Those names..."??

Re: How did you decide your nick?
My nickname comes from the Latin for wolf, Canis Lupus, took the first two letters of each Latin word and combined it, seemed quitte obvious for me as Wolf is my surname.

Re: How did you decide your nick?
Well, Ginseng is for me a quite strange name actually... sounds Asian or at least healthy
One stupid classmate started with that. My last name ends with "...sen", so in his stoned mind he must have had a mind flash that made him compare my last name with Ginseng. Unfortunately he did that in front of the whole class and from that day on my nick name was Ginseng. I really got pi**** off when people called me that way but over then time I used a different strategy and made it my online name.

"Haruna" is the name of one of the mountains in Japan, it's also home to the real-world counterpart to the "Akina" mountain pass in Initial D.
"Say" is my actual last name.
Is this an okay bump? Rather do this than start a new thread.

Re: How did you decide your nick?
Do you know demolition racing game called "Eve of destruction"? Well, knowing my name is Eva (Eve as used in Spain) and this game is not about destroying...
I considered another nickname: evetona, because the game that brought me to virtual racing (and to real racing too) was the original Daytona USA but that sounded just too lame for me. About that game, it taught me the basics of racing driving: gas "kindness", ultrafast gas-brake-gas technique (key to success if you want to be fast driving a kart, you don't have to deccelerate, you need to have FAST feet), drafting, and even "rattling cages" .

First it was GRF=GeneRally Fan. Then I changed it to The Noose because... Umm... Well... I needed some change.

Oh that is a great game! I propably played Driven to Destruction (or Eve of Destruction) the most after GT4. It's a shame it didn't really get very well known atleast here in Finland.eveofracing wrote:Do you know demolition racing game called "Eve of destruction"?
My name stuff is somewhere at the first page so no need to rewrite them. Except that right now I am thinking of a second nick name for the happier songs and dance tracks. Nothing good has come up yet, though. I was thinking of KandiBoi, but that is too cheery.

@RaphaelAC/DC: this is not a "real" bump cause it's always interesting to know how people decided their nickname.
