Hi,

does anybody know this game called Speed Demons??? It was created by Eastpoint Software in 1997

It is topdown isometric racing game and it has 6 players (like GeneRally), 8 different tracks and I think these tracks could be created in GeneRally

Here is the gameplay video I found on YouTube

Evolution studios copied GeneRally!!!

After extensive playing I've noticed this :

· Compact = Mini
· Muscle = Yankee
· Rallycar = Rally car
· Big rig = Truck
· Monster truck = Monster truck
· Racing truck = General
· Buggy = McTurbo
· Supercar = Formula

Also, tracks are really similar to the original ones (small, usually having road crossings and some jumps)

What did they add??
· 8 cars in a race
· 12 cars in some events (chasing)
· Drift mode
· Moving camera
· Medal system

Edit

I don't see how those last few things could be the case in terms of cars being copied. And it would be logical that a monster truck being similar to a monster truck, and the same for a truck, rallycar and muscle car xD

Is this for MotorStorm: RC?

Yes, this is for Motorstorm R/C. The cars are way too similar to the original Gr cars

Firstly, I think this would be better suited to the off-topic, rather than this sub forum, but that's not my decision.

Secondly, it would've helped if you'd actually mentioned what game Evolution Studios had copied GR with, as they've made quite a few games.

Finally, I also disagree that they've copied GeneRally. The game's graphics are very different, the cars bare no resemblance whatsoever to the original GR cars, and nor was GeneRally the first game of this type anyway, plus Motorstorm R/C is based around R/C cars, whereas GeneRally is not. I haven't played the game, so can't comment on the physics, but since both will be using highly arcade-stylized physics, then naturally they may "feel" a bit similar.

I have it. The RC cars' physics are nothing like usual GR cars' physics.

Also, what has a McTurbo to do with a Buggy? :rofl:

bulls**t on these in terms of performance.

Muscle = Rallycar
Rally Car = General
Racing Truck = Yankee
Buggy = Go-Kart

· Compact = Mini
Both are kinda slow when going straight but turn really fast

· Muscle = Yankee
Sliding sliding sliding

· Rallycar = Rally car
Too... much... torque... and power

· Big rig = Truck
"Slow ride, take it easy"

· Monster truck = Monster truck
Same

· Racing truck = General
Kinda average

· Buggy = McTurbo
Lots of power, bad turning

· Supercar = Formula
It makes you think really really fast

Are you joking?

Have you actually taken the time to observe how all the cars behave?

Compact = Mini
agree, both are slow, but the Mini is nimble whereas the Compact is grippy

Muscle = Rallycar
High power, sliding sliding sliding

Rally Car = General
Quite fast all round, if slightly flimsy

Big Rig = Truck
agree, though the Big Rig is very fast in Motorstorm RC

Monster Truck = Monstertruck
agree

Racing Truck = Yankee
Both vehicles offer solid handling, but aren't super crack fast like the Rally Car

Buggy = Go-Kart
Both are somewhat slippery, but the defining negative for these two vehicles are that they're really easy to push around.

Supercar = Formula or McTurbo
McTurbo is way faster in a straight race, but Formula corners better.

There's no problem with his rejoining itself, but with the way how he's trying to do it all over and over again (not just 4 times btw). His choice ...

But we're going off-topic.

Sorry if it's totally bumped, but since we are on the Off Topic section...

Have you guys played Tiny Little Racing on Android phones/tablets yet? The only words when I played the isometric mode were these: Looks like GeneRally, a bit!

Turbo Sliders v2.5.3 is released on 30.11.2014. It can be downloaded HERE.

These are some of the most important new features and changes that you'll enjoy in v2.5.3:
- Tyres wearing – now you'll be able not just to refuel and repair the car damage in the pit, but also to change car tyres.
- Drafting (slipstream) – if enabled, it gives you a certain extra acceleration when driving close behind of another car.
- Maximum track size is changed from 2000x2000 to 4000x4000.
- Cars movement is smoother than ever and enhanced by some new handling parameters.
- Free camera added. You can use it when spectating, watching recordings, or when you're wrecked.
- Many libraries have been updated and the game has been compiled with a new version of Visual Studio. So, it should work well on newer systems.
- Purchasing a license isn’t fixed to 19.95 $ anymore. You'll have more options now, and some of them are much lower values. Sure, the game is still fully functional for all the players. Buying a license just means you like it and support it.
