Oh wow, that Ferrari 458 feels just so good. I tuned it to it's maximum when I tried to get it good enough to fight against the prototypes. Unfortunately wasn't quite fast enough. But now it is just a beast! Just a bit under 800hp in about a 1000kg car. So the stats are about as good as the prototypes. The car is just so hard to handle that it is a great one to drive. When braking, the car locks the front wheels almost immediately. When accelerating, it first tries to understeer but right after it, it leaves some amazingly long black stripes on the road as it tries to get some sort of grip of the road. And it FLIES! (As shown in one of the pictures). And still, the car turns so easily compared to many other cars. It brakes just as quickly as I want. It just feels so... Right.
I'm not a great fan of Ferraris, but this one is just great, I guess it will be the best car of the game for me!

Though I have to say that the licence tests don't feel so much licence tests anymore with all those overtaking challenges and stuff..

Wow, _finally_ I got the '90 CRX! I have been playing the game for a month and this was the first time I actually saw it. And I have been looking at the used cars lot after pretty much every race... You'd think that is a common car but I guess it's not, then. Since I got it, I don't really need any new cars anymore. Okay, maybe the Ferrari F1 2008, but that will be a side dish.

FINALLY!!.. i've got the x1. it was first after the new update that i managed to get bronze in all 3 tracks but with dualshock xD (i dont know if its allright to bump, now that it's my topic?? ) btw, are there others who allready got it before me??

Yeah, I have it, I got it in the beginning of January. It's just so horrible to drive on pad that I don't really like it... :/ I should leave the game on for just a few more days to get to the 40 level mark, but gahhh... Maybe some day.

I basically have all the cars I want that are in the game, so I'm not bothered to level up. All you're really unlocking anyway are endurance races beyond level 24, and given how slow Gran Turismo's AI is, it's not really fun to run away and it's pointless to handicap one's self. (I hate how they made the Grand Valley 300 KM race a road car one instead of a JGTC/Touring Car one as well, that ticks me off because that was one of my favorite endurance races)

Buick Special is one of the best cars for GT IMO, in GT4 I tuned it until it haves 832 HP

btw they diddent "remove" them 100%, they just make them to challenges instead (like ff challenge, 4wd challenge, and so on..), and lowered the money rewards

Grrr. My PS2 can no longer read my copy of GT4 so now i'm going to have to get a 4th copy. Why does my PS2 hate GT4? It plays a copy of GT4 fine for about 2 years then suddenly decides the discs are unreadable. It doesn't do this with any other game i own. I got NFSC brand new in Fall 2006 and it still plays fine, i got Xtreme Express at the end of 2005 and that still plays fine so why doesn't this play anymore?

Perhaps the PS2 itself is dodgy? They're not exactly unknown for issues with disc reading, I've had it with mine where the CD lens went completely south, very noisily, until I fixed it by tightening the drive up.

Mine doesn't read any GT4. I just don't know why. In 2008, the energy in my house got a blackout, then it's file on the memory card has got corrupted, and since that, it doesn't read GT4 again. Tourist Trophy and GT3 reads perfectly. I don't know what's going on with my PS2.

PS3 won't help you, it may or may not play GT4 depending on the exact emulation configuration.
