This isn't so bad as first thought. If you ignore that mumbling old fart and listen Metallica you may like it... I am the table!

Last actually good Metallica album was "...And justice for all" Don't really like the albums after that.

It's all down to opinions. After the first 4 brilliant albums (some of them even better than the others) I like the Black album much, Load and Reload contain one album's worth of good stuff and St. Anger is a very good album IMHO actually, once you get past Lars's snare drum sound. It's not nu-metal as everyone keeps saying - as a former huge nu-metal fan I know that. ;) It really grew on me, took several years actually. Death Magnetic on the other hand sounded good on the first few listens but I've rarely come back to it afterwords. This all coming from someone who's followed Metallica's career since 1987 or so.

As for Lulu, I've listened to it once now and it's surely interesting, there are some tunes that I already like and even though I don't have a firm opinion about the whole album yet, I can already say I appreciate it from the artistic POV a lot. Reed and Metallica are doing what they want without listening to anyone else (which seemed to be the case with Death Magnetic, that album tries to please fans of all Metallica's eras) and that's the way it should be if you ask me. Being someone who also likes Lou Reed as well as (selected pieces of) avant garde music it's most likely easier for me to appreciate it than for most. If you're just into Metallica and not that used to weird music (I mean really weird, not relatively safe weird) I definitely wouldn't recommend it. But if you have open mind for whatever and don't think it as a Metallica album (which it's not, it's Lou Reed & Metallica, which means that I'll file it on my CD shelf next to Reed's Transformer) then give it a shot and don't expect to like it immediately, this one's a hard one to swallow. Will definitely put the CD in my player again today.

Transformer is brilliant :bsmile: Did you see the Classic Albums episode? Was one of the first songs to include a curse word being played on BBC because the BBC didn't know what it ment :D
But my favorite album is Rock & Roll Animal, every song is superb on that album.

Transformer is good, doesn't beat the first Velvet Underground album though IMHO. And no, I didn't see that episode.

That Rock N' Roll Hall of Fame performance didn't set me on fire, I prefer the new collaboration with original songs, even though I still haven't gotten very far with it, it's a tough nut to crack open.

I like almost everything. But Onerepublic and Queen most of everything. I listen to croatian music a lot but I won't name names of bands.

I've found this Dubstep music style quite, umm, well fascinating. :)

It was certainly worth the money. Tickets for less than 20€, a more or less unknown concert with 400 people at a small hall, amazing atmosphere, and we could even chat with the bands members afterwards :cool2:

Nothing screams "awesome music" quite like the theme to TOCA Touring Car Championship:
Look to the left ----------------> that's to the right, mate :(
Owner of Team GeneAlex
GRACE S1 - 25th out of 47 drivers and 14th out of 18 teams. Not bad for a first season eh?
GRC S18 - 15th out of 26 (7th out of 14 in junior standings)

Machine Head ruled, Gojira was tight, Metallica was better than the last time I saw them.

I was there also. I was only interested in Metallica so I arrived at about 20:00. Ended up about 20 meters from stage. My second Metallica gig (first was in Hartwall '09) and they were great :)

If only Metallica would've played songs from their first four albums... Then I might have been interested.

Would have been a nice surprise to see a familiar name (and, well, face too) on TV, if I would have watched those news :D
