Show your lawn!

Post by thegreatfalcon »

Showing ourselves, our cars and desktop was quite nice but let's get into real stuff: Lawns!!! My favourite hobby just after doing Computer stuff is about this, mowing the lawn. :) I like to mow it golf-style so that it makes lines everywhere... (see the picture)

My mower goes like this:
Brand: Murray
Model: Pro Series
Engine: Briggs & Strattons
Power: 4.75HP
Cutting width: 20 inches
Cooling: Air Cooled
Fuel: Normal Gasoline though High Octane would be cool to try :)
Tank: Less than a litter.
Plans for future: I would really like to put a Turbocharger on this but I think the next real change will be putting some better spark plug... High performance one may get the whole thing up to 5HP or more... :flip:

I'll make photo, when weather will be better. :D We have cloudy and rain weather here for more than week, even quite hard floods in some parts of country, same situation is in South Poland, Slovakia, West Ukraine and north Hungary, so it will not be better soon). :sorry:

Otherwise, yes, I think, that this is pretty useless topic. :P :D

This topic is useless as it can get, but the first thing I thought was:
Quick, go downstairs, outside, shove the two (yes 2, one gasoline, on electrical) lawnmowers into the garden, and make a picture!
Then I noticed that my daughter had taken the camera with her.
But...pics will follow in the near future!
promised!

Pics are good but specs add an awesome bonus :D

Happy to know that I'm not the only one to like grass :D

If you don't mow, it should grow up to hundreds feet high?

Hmm, if it's hidden under the car, it has no light, so it won't grow?

What about pimping the cars so they have huge lights below the car so the grass would grow

Actually, there should be some spots exposed to sun that grow?

WE dont have so big space for lawn in our yard, because the house and our BIIIG garage takes space. (Our garage is almost as big as our house.) Theres a little road, trampoline and storage, so theres not so much of it.

Well, we are currently building a new fence, so it wouldn't make much sence to take a picture right now. I'll take one once the fence is finished.
And our mower is... man powered. No engine, it is powered by the rotating wheels. And I hate that machine. Especially since it tends to get stuck on every little bump and stick.

Just finished mowing the lawn, had to use my electrical lawnmower, because the one with gasoline started to smoke as hell!
Guess there was leaking some oil inside, onto farts of the engine.
Looked like someone had thrown a smoke-grenade into our garden.
Even my neigbour came out to see what happened.
Now comes the bad part of the story:
Can't find my digital camera anywhere!
None of the kids could remember who had it the last time, and my wife doesn't know where it's been either!
 :weep:  :eyes: :headbang: :hammer:

So sorry, no pics!

Hehheh funny thing happened. We and our neighbors have a common lawn. Our neighbor bought a new one because he taught that the previous one broke. The reason for smoke was that he taught that our 4-stroke engine was 2-stroke and mixed some oil into gasoline :) So we have two lawns
And the story was whatever was the song what it was

This is from the backyard. It shows the most of the lawn though. It has been pretty hot here for the last week so the grass has burnt pretty much completely now. And I forgot to take a picture of the mower... I'll try to remember and take it too.

@1nsane: The colours of the photo are great and look almost unreal :bg: Did you watered your lawn to prevent it from burning?
