GP in Lviv was held on streets with slippery big cobblestones with tramway ruts on bigger part of the circuit. In fact Caraciolla dominated during the whole race and after damage of the Hans Stuck's car (father of another Hans Stuck
) he had no competitors who could beat him. Some people now think that Lviv GP could become as popular as Monaco because of its difficulty, but after crisis began this GP was cancelled forever. After it WW2 began and Soviets took the biggest part of Western Ukraine including Lviv. Soviet races and its own F1
is also very intersting part of racing history (but very miserable), but they never took place in Lviv anymore.
