I also invited a friend called Mael Martins to here. I was using some GR screens to give an special air to my team on a Excel-formula tournament. Mael asked me the game and i presented him the GR.

I know your name, though I joined the community in 2005. I got some of your tracks for sure, but the best thing would be to contact LongBow. He is our tracks restorer, who got huge amounts of old tracks from different authors. He might send the tracks to you so you could do the reupload yourself. Here is some info about his work.
hi! thanks for the advice, LongBow already contacted me :) i hope i can upload all my tracks and cars again soon, as he still has some of it and i found my old harddrive again

@TuomoH: great to see that youre still active here, i just downloaded some of your newer tracks :bg: - i guess i have to look for those WIP tracks. if i remeber correctly, these were some drafts and layoust of tracks you completed, right?

Where would I go? :D Yes, they were layouts and some dithering. :) They were in Mixed Bizness pack btw.

Hello again everyone.

Post by Zaekyr »

Sorry bout the new post but I felt it was important.

First of all I would like to thank those involved in working on GeneRally for win7,it is great to have it back again since my old win98 comp died about a year ago.

Seeing a new version was great but also alot of work since I am still in the process of sorting through my archive.I have original zips of everything I ever downloaded (tracks, cars, ect) since the original GR site/rsc forum days.So if there is something you made from then and have lost it I may have it (pm me with info).Downloading the new version also gave me the fix I needed cause this has always been an ace in the hole for me whenever I want to be creative. There are too few programs that allow so much modding that I enjoy working on.For the past month I have been organizing the stuff from my archive disk and working on an open wheel car that has been a work in progress for a very long time.I look forward to posting it soon along with all my works from the past in time.

I am also looking forward to downloading some new cars and tracks from all of you too.I am wondering if anyone came up with a good rally car pack as good or better than pongo's that he posted so long ago.

Hello!
It's great, that you got all the original zips. You should contact LongBow, who is our track restorer. It will be very helpful, as readmes probably will contain contact infos to authors who left the community, so they can be contacted about restoring.

Hello all veterans!

Post by Coelho »

I'd like to say that, as this is my first post (in fact, my first time in this forum), I'll be contributing with the game and achievements. I've been playing GR for almost 4 years, as a pastime game. For all this years, I've been waiting for a Multiplayer option. I hope we're close to this.

Soon, I'll be sharing with you my own maps and cars.

Bye! :bg:
Question everything. Why?
Because once I ate a cookie made of cancer and pus.
They told me it was chocolate.
Why are there spoilers?

First off, I'd like to say hi everybody! I played this game maybe 6-7 years ago, played the heck out of it. However, the PC died, and I completely forgot about it over time. I have no idea what prompted me to remember it, so I googled a few things and BOOM! There it was! Unreal that it was updated after all these years! And great registration questions by the way. Had to actually think for a second. Time to hone my skills and work through the editor...it's been a long time!

Hi guys I only by accident stumbled onto GeneRally again only to find that the unexpected has happened the game has been updated! Truly Awesome! I just registered to say hi and thanks to everybody still keeping the community alive! This game provided me with endless hours, weeks, months even years of fun and it's about time this old racer start to play it again in his spare time. I probably wont be as active but will definitely pop in to see what's going on on the forum.

I don't think many will remember me. I was there from the early days when we still posted posts for pips! Back in the days when I still went by the alias bBad and my Bart Simpson avatar mooned everybody including himself. I followed the move to RSC, raced a few competitions won a few races, created a few tracks and just loved the community. Heck there was even a time we created matrix style replay videos (Thanks LongBow!) and some underground racing series. Later changed my name to my real name Nico, but with it I lost a bit of the youthful vigor that made me commit every spare minute to this game.

Really glad to see some of the giants of the game still around after all these years. I wasn't going to mention names for the fear of leaving some people out. And I am very sure I will, please forgive me but I just have to say a big up thank you to TuomoH, Rich Nagel, James Burgess, Strava, LongBow, 1nsane, Jo.sk, GeorgM, nielske, Soltys and all those left out it's not because your forgotten but just too many to name everyone here. U know who you are! :bg:

Welcome back, man :bg: Its good to see you back among us.
I was trying to get in contact with you some time ago but I guess that email is no longer active. I wanted to discuss with you about re-uploading of you "lost" tracks but since you are now here we can join forces for that task if you are interested of course :bg:

BTW that matrix video was done by K3rmit ;)

I lost contact with Dzz (aka Tony), and was wondering if any of you have heard from him. I see a lot of old names, enough to make me download the new version of the game.

I was trying to get in contact with dzz but I was not successful. I guess he changed his email address or he simply ignores (certain) mails. However I still hope he will re-join us someday :)

Hi guys,
I wasn't very active this year and disappeared a bit (although I did check the new tracks and ToM). I raced too much last year, had/have problems with my computer, found a new hobby, etc...
But now I'm back!
I try to finish the ToM compo and hopefully return to trackmaking.

Ahh, good old GeneRally. I'm glad we finally got an update so I can play again :) I'm Racer9 from RSC, I made a bunch of terrible tracks and one or two passable ones lol. Made a few cars as well. It's crazy to see all these new objects now, should be lots of fun to work a new track.
