Which songs combine more with GeneRally action?

Post by Rebellion765 »

Just put here the songs that you think is better for racing in GR listening to them.
My plan is to make a GR soundtrack with the preferred songs from the racers.

my list:
1. Bullet For My Valentine - Scream Aim Fire

2. Drowning Pool - Told You So

3. Less Than Jake - Short Fuse Burning

4. Metallica - Trapped Under Ice

5. Iron Maiden - Aces High

6. AC/DC - Back In Black

There are more songs, but is your turn now :bg:

I've said a song that makes you...uh...headbanging when playing GR.
Doesn't need to be a rock song, but a song with fits the GR racing style.
Someone?

A lot of the stuff by doujin metal artist "CROW'S CLAW" is pretty mental stuff. I listen to it in GTR2 and GR.

Forgo the fact that these are all Touhou rock or metal style arranges, just close your eyes and imagine screaming down the Mulsanne Straight in a Aston-Martin DBR9, or dueling on the track mano-a-mano against your mortal enemy.

To be honest, music with vocals in them is distracting, hence all these songs I've suggested have only awesome guitar and drums.

Particularly I recommend from him:
"Crossfire Barrage"

"Mountain of Faith"

"Gliding with Feather"

"Last Remote"

"What You Think"

"How does I feel to be Alive?"
"In my world, we don't have enemies. Only rivals.
In my world, our dreams become REALITY."

I rather prefer driving with engine roar and no other sounds (OK, even if it sounds more like squeek than a roar), but I remember one race quite long time ago when I was listening music during racing, it was on Sepang with rainy palette. When listening to these songs, practicing and racing there was a pure delight.

Live version for those who can't stand watching only images on YT movies ;)

But when you hear the engine, it's easier to drive better, because if, for instance, car is slowing down and heading to a corner you can see how fast it is but also hear it and then it's much easier to find the right place to start accelerating after the corner. For me it's very precious.

The entire Burnout 3 soundtrack is awesome. It's the greatest compilation of driving rock in history.
The AE86 is undoubtedly the best drift car ever. If for nothing else, for its longevity.

Honestly, hip hop works much better imo. Hip hop is all about beat, and driving is all about rhythm.
