I agree with TuomoH's proposal.

I do agree that punishing someone that signed up in December is not really fair, but some different wording may be needed, because TuomoH's changes make everyone eligible: no one posted in GRIF before that date because it didn't exist ;)

In fact, I'd make the rule go back to the beginning of December or even November (not that it would really matter for this year), so that every rookie would have a fair chance to win...

Fair point, "and had not posted previously at RSC" could be part of the clause. xD

So this should sound like: Only a member of GR community, who posted first time in GRIF from 26 Dec 2009 to the end of year 2010 and had not posted previously at RSC is nominate-able for category Rookie of Year? Right?

Hmm, may I suggest a board wide noticement about this, since I think people don't follow this general area as much as, say, tracks area. (also, voted already. :) )

Should Trigger Happy and Dan Hakulín be listed together?

Yes :) but which competitions did you organize together?

They organized many competitions separately, and thus should be counted separately. ;)

Well, we work on compos ''separately'' in the strict technical sense (replays, stats etc) and each has freedom in realizing his own ideas, but we work kinda together, here's no ''Dan's compo'' or no ''Ivo's compo'' - they are ''GRMFED's compos''. It's kind of an entity, which distinct from us two, who control the entity, collaborate on achieving its goals and share successes and responsibility for its losses.

Maybe GRMFED should be nominated?
So I can't vote for one of you?

Edit: This conversation should maybe be moved to the discussion thread.

IIRC in last year the nominees really were GRMFED or e.g. JE in tracks, GRASCAR and ToM for ToM Compo and then the particular people were in brackets, so you're likely right, Mr.J.

Edit: And moved like mentioned. :bg:

I've put GRMFED as a nominee (but with names of Ivo and Dan in brackets). I think that doesn't make any changes in fact. And what is more I think awards should be given to people not to an acronym.

I don't know if this should be asked here or not, but...

Where is the Rabina Awards? :S

What about using search before intentional bump of totally unrelated thread, Resi? :viking:

BTW The wheels are in motion already, be patient. ;)

Edit: posts moved.

I would consider making people look stupid an abusal of your moderating power...

If someone's been here for long he should know about search etc. and TH was just reminding Resi about it. It's the usual procedure.

Agreeing with TuomoH, and it's hardly making him look stupid.

However, this begs a question: when will the next Rabina Awards be held?

Like I told, Luke, the wheels are in motion already. ''When will be'' ATM means when nominations will be started - it's going happen within dozen of hours since now. :)

I don't understand that either, as PGR season 2011 finished in April 2012.
