And great to hear its all back and everything is going good.

Sad, we all admins are too oldschool. Tuomo and me don't use FB / Twitter at all, DXTR has maybe FB (or use similar Hungarian network), but only for private purpose.

I could post through Facebook, but in this case it was irrelevant as I wasn't here at that point.

Not possible to send mass mail, when your own forum is out of your hands. :D

Indeed, it tried to push through some garbage everytime I got through the error messages. But they were the "normal" browser trojans etc. (your browser is out of date, press yes to update. The screen showing that the link would bring to something definitely not by Mozilla...)
So I would say the stuff they tried to push through were quite low level/quality or old. Atleast AntiVir blocked everything rightaway. I'll run through the virus check just in case, but I doubt anything worse happened. And this is most likely the case for everyone if you just have your stuff up to date. :)

The people who tried to do this are... Lame.

Can confirm that. Most of the times it was just an error message but one time my Antivir did an alarm. Full scan of my system didnt show any harm though. But I hope all community buddies are up to date with browser and antivirus software...creepy kiddo hackers will not destroy :gr:

Would be great to have a kind of backup system to send and receive information if main system is down. Now we all checked frequently what is the status of our forum and so automatically risked being attacked again.

It was caused by GeorgM himself. He deleted his password from database (AFAIK to prevent them deleting stuff).

Oh my Lanta... I think that's why I couldn't login + seeing stuffed headers + gotten error messages...

Thankfully I used my cellphone to access this site, so I must have no problems :sigh
