Warning, Nerd-talk:

In the meantime, I changed the names of the "Changing daytime" palettes, so they will appear in the proper order.
Problem was that the palettes were named by the am/pm system, which caused the palettes-order pretty chaotic.
Now I changed the names of the palettes and pictures using the 24 hrs. system, and voila:
They appear in the right order, and a nice side issue is, when flipping through the different palletes, it also looks like the track in the picture is filmed from early morning until midnight.
Useless, but nice!

Image

I still don't know who made these palettes, could anybody help?

That doesnt have that preview of the palette.
Just some random pics cluster.

Every pic belongs to a palette....

quotation from the prog readme:
Preview-pictures:

Start GeneRally with the wanted palette
chose a track and start, make a screenshots with F12
finish GeneRally

open Screenshot, resize to 300x225 pixel and save
as jpg picture with the same name as the used palettefile
therefore "Palette.jpg" belongs to "Palette.pal"
move the jpg file in the palette folder

Resize is not absolutely necessary, but otherwise,
it must be done by the program every time.

My preview pictures are made with a modified Switzerlandtrack.
You can´t see all changes, because some palettes are
developed for particular tracks.

Welcome ChiliFan!
Please get in contact with Longbow, who started a 'GeneRally Palettes Archive'.
The discussion thread is HERE.
It would be great to give Longbow permission to upload your palettes, since there seems to be a lot of interest in these.
He would have posted them before but there weren't any readme's included.

Since I've been watching the Le Mans 24h race right now for about 14h of the 22h of race right now, I really want this day-night cycle collection of palettes (you know, the one showed by ChiliFan in that animation).
Please, if you have them, please send it to die-1098@hotmail.com

Since the GR Archive has been offline for at least a couple of weeks now, does anybody have the following palettes:
  • sepia
  • black & white
  • any other one that looks "retro" or "vintage" to you (except for the various "CUSTOMJB*.pal" by Strava)
Thank you!

It seems that the site is not reachable.
