Oh man, what did you guys do to the car handling? It used to feel like grip was largely impacted by speed; so cars like the Yankee had a real sense that you had to master it to keep the car stable. Now cars retain a constant level of slippiness no matter what speed you are going at.

I certainly hope everything is okay with Kimmo. Good to know why there were not updates during the KS campaign, that's certainly an acceptable reason. Question, will the alpha be open alpha, or some kind of paid open alpha or closed alpha to only csrtain members of the community?

Its very interesting news to see that the project will continue to progess. Its also positive that the dev team has other funding methods in mind.

About Kimmo it seems very strange! Maybe he got offended by something.. I don't know! Hope he is in good health after all.

Well, I guess that's a good reason... Certainly we all hope that Kimmo is OK! And I'm sure you'll keep us updated on your next steps...

Really hope everything is ok with Kimmo.

Also glad to hear that the team isn't disheartened by missing out on the KS goal or some of the negative comments by a small number of people.

I hope Kimmo is okay. A lot of those things sound understandable.

Prayers to Kimmo. I wish that the GR2 team stays solid as they are even if they don't make the goal :)

I think one of the weakest parts of the KS is the way of donating. If you guys can do something about this (for example with PayPal, SMS donating, even with IBAN) more people will be able to do it I'm in this category too. I don't want perks or rewards or anything - in the end I want to play the game after all. :)
One last suggestion from me - 8 Pounds for game like this is a high prize. If you can reduce it to for example 5 or 6 Pounds it will be nice. The reason? Look in Steam what are the prizes of some "bigger" games and some "smaller" games and compare to GR2.

It's approaching a month since we last heard anything from the dev team. So much for improving their PR. I reiterate, this lack of any communication, not even short little posts to let us know that stuff is happening, does not inspire confidence in the dev team. This the part of the reason the KS failed. Yes, I know Kimmo vanished, but it still was rather poor of them to not let us know a little more while the KS was happening. Is GR2 going to end up as Vaporware that never gets finished?

a news line a week could be enough... this kimmo things sounds fishy for me... hope it's not an escape route to end the project. I'm very dissapointed how things finished up and it's very sad if there will never be the release of GR2.

I think it was wiser if they continued to work on GR1 at first place. Maybe adding some more cars to the game and implementing online play was not an impossible task.

Hope I'm wrong!

I think they'll finish GR2, for sure ;) But because of reasons written above (by GR2 team) it can be later than we'd want.
About GR1, making new features isn't impossible but is really hard because of code which they told is very complicated and it's hard ti write something new because it wasn't write by them.

While I don't believe that's what happened it this case, there has been some pretty crazy stuff that's happened with other Kickstarter projects. Again, the way to solve the problem is some transparency...

I'll obviously be equally appalled if it turns out to be true, possibly more so but to post that speculation on a public forum is not the done thing.
