Promotion of Kickstarter campaign

Hi all

I was wondering if any promotion of the Kickstarter campaign has been done? Any contact of gaming news websites, asking for retweets or shares on Facebook etc?

I'm just concerned that most people will opt for the £8 digital copy of the game which would require 2,500 backers of which I'm not sure how many the current active community will end up being of that number? Plus the backer amount has stalled at the £4,700 mark, we can't all be hoping that everyone is just waiting for pay day?! Ha!

Obviously if the development team need the community to drum up support we will be willing to help wherever possible :)

We've been doing some promotion to more racing-related websites in this first week, but our major press push is coming in the next few days when we get our next update to the KS demo out (which includes some significant progress on both the performance and feature fronts). We deliberately avoided going all-in there in the first week, due to the huge E3 coverage across most websites, and a little arcade racing game was bound to get lost amongst that particularly busy time of the year :)

Naturally, we're obviously very, very keen for people to share as much as they can via Facebook, Twitter, G+, wherever really - as the majority of funding for crowd-funding campaigns comes from "personal recommendations" like that.

Interestingly (and maybe, surprisingly), we've had a quite high percentage (compared to other projects) of people coming directly from Kickstarter's project browser... and a very low percentage (again, comparatively to what we'd have expected) coming from GR community websites or racing-related websites :)

That is fascinating that people are discovering the project through KS on their own. And I totally agree about avoiding press releases etc during E3. It would be like trying to shout at a Metallica concert. Looking forward to seeing what marketing you have planned for the coming days :)
