[ral] Feoq Forest

Post by SammieVL »

I made this in about five hours, had the "layout" on my pc since this morning.
:revs: Feoq Forest :revs:

Feoq is a quick, sharp and tricky rally course through a dense forest.
It's hard to get a good lap on here. It's narrow, cornering and very bumpy and jumpy.
A real challenge with lots & loads of fun!

Here we go ! :yummy:

First, I like the way you put fences like fallen trees and the overall impression is really nice, we really are in a forest !
But like Masa said, wow yes it's narrow ! I'm sure I will bounce to these evil concrete posts at the bottom right, and the way to pass through the trees at the middle left. But it can be a real challenge, like you said ! :scared: (me playing this track)
If it's intended to be difficult, it's ok for me.
(It's personal but I'd like to see some trees floating on the water and a dock to pick them with little lumberjacks. You see, like a real sawmill ! Within the factory or not...)

The fences weren't exactly meant as fallen trees, i've seen them before, but not sure where. I think in the Joint Effort Rally Project or something, hmm. Anyways, they're not supposed to be fallen trees, they're rather meant to be piled logs. Yes, i know that the track is narrow. I kind of tried to make it like Scholls rally tracks, some of them are very narrow, which actually makes them mostly challenging.

Excuse me, it's what I wanted to say, but I was a bit lazy...
And I'm agree, Scholl's rally tracks are very narrow sometimes (especially Japan).

Japan is easy to drive in timetrial, but MUCH harder in racing with AIs(i always must turn off damage)
:backtt:
Your track looks serious. Dithering look great to me, Forest is acceptable(i am not saying, that is bad, but for me, forests can be acceptable or unacceptable), bridge look great too, layout is simply, fast & narrow(and that's the way aha aha i liiiike it aha aha :D).

So for me, it's 5/5 :star:

Thanks!

He probably meant Masa. :shhh:

Anyway, great rally circuit, really fun, but I had to remove cones inside first hairpin, they are too masked by bushes and car get stuck there too often. Well done, Wouter.

4,9/5 :)

Really nice track. I liked the dithering and the fences used as fallen trees piled logs. And loved the bridge. Have you thought about using fences on it? Could look cool.

It reminded me a little of a track of mine for some reason.
