well if no one is interested in PoY then i guess dont do it, which i think would be a shame...

and as for the 3/5 vote split, as its divided up on ToM site anyway, does it really cause that much of a problem?

I think, that we can find the most important 7-12 trackpacks of last year, if nominees topic will be made, so I'm for PoY too.

Alright, let's just give it a try. (PoY) :)

Yes. In fact, we just have to make it more fair, as some stats don't depend on the number of votes. I would make it like this:
tom-stats.jpg
 Should we make this rule already for the March election?

IMO, these are statistics that don't depend on the number of votes:
  • 01 - Election with the most participating voters
  • 09 - Nationscup (?) (I think it will be more interesting here)
  • 10 - Most loyal voter
These statistics depend:
  • 02 - Election with the most elected tracks
  • 03 - Election with the strongest podium
  • 04 - Most popular winner
  • 05 - Winner with the most votes
  • 06 - Trackmaker with most votes
  • 07 - Trackmaker with most elected tracks
  • 08 - Most effective trackmaker
  • 11 - Most voted podium tracks
  • 12 - Most voted winner tracks
  • 13 - Most representative taste
  • 14 - 6th sense for winners
  • 15 - Most strikes

Can't you start the election, even if Raska has disappeared again? It's almost May already, and annual elections haven't been done yet either :really:

Aleksi's post moved. ;)

My answer (as junior member staff). I tried to urge it few days ago. Raska haven't answered on my mail (is not often on forum nowdays), GeorgM same. I cannot overatake the duties related election until summer - I'm very busy at school, keeping the forum in run and even GTCC (which I didn't plan to organize at all). So we have to wait for answer of one of senior members. BTW I guess, that several people sent already his vote to Raska in past weeks.

Sorry that even I have delayed, I'm quite busy with studies, too... Does nobody know, where Raska is?
I've started the election - you will have to send your votes to me.
About ToY, sorry for this, I would have started the election already, but there is still the PoY, and I'd like to run it at the same time. Unfortunately there aren't that much pack mentioned in the PoY thread so... maybe we should skip this?

Good job, GeorgM. :bg:

Just opinion about ToY: I'm very satisfied, that is not held in Janury, February or March. Because the tracks from later months were more fresh in our minds, which IMHO could give them little bit advantage in the election contrary to earlier efforts. But I hope we'll finish this thing before end of May. :2c:

hello!

can i ask, do i have to have to have the two buenos aires as seperate nominations? its the same track, same file, released at the same time, isnt it just a variation of layout? and seems a bit silly to have them compete against one another? :hide:

cheers, BBA!

Well, I had set it separated as the long track is very different map from the tracks with F1 and other layouts (not only by shape of layout, but map in sum and even when Buenos Aires was nominated twice - by XYY and Bruno Asp), so I considered it as 2 tracks in one pack (pack cannot be nominated). But I don't have problem with merging it. More opinions, guys?

:iagree:

No point in having split votes for one track (even if it means tougher fight for other participants... :misch: ).

May's trackpack is uploaded. You can find it here.

BTW, may someone ask masto_pursi for permission to include his XRALLX3 into April's pack in Finnish? He doesn't answer on my PMs, maybe he doesn't understand what I want from him.

Reposted from the PoY thread...
I know there were special circumstances in 2009, but I think it's pretty hard for people to remember trackpacks from several months ago in general. Here's a suggestion-how about in each month's ToM nomination topic, people can also nominate trackpacks from that month for PoY? At the end of the year, all of the nominations would be collected and voted upon all at the same time. I think this would help the nominations quite a bit...
What do the ToM people think about this?
I like short, simple signatures!

Maybe too much colors. Reduction can be made by merging ToM results and statistics with rules and nominees (even the spitting that two parts doesn't look very logical).

I'm not sure, if we still need separate place in menu for special event - it's deep past and no track can be downloaded there (links to RSC are broken). It could be only incorporated into the Anniversary page somehow.

Does it use too much space?

I made a variation, see below.

About Special event etc, this needs to be reworked, yes.

Personally I like the first (with color only on left side). About gaps, they can be smaller, but it's not problem. But the gap between ToM rules and ToM results looks useless to me.

Today I spent some time searching for tracks on ToM site. Its easy to search for podium tracks/autors (ctrl+f) but when good track is on 4th/5th place its very hard to find it without knowing its release date. Is it possible to search tracks on site using its name (or autor nick)? It would be helpful.

ToM staff miss a search from same reason too and it is already in progress for few months - GeorgM works on it hard, but it takes time, he is very busy man. :phonecall: IIRC the basic search is in very late beta version, maybe now he's working on advanced options too. But hopefully it will be finished soon (in weeks/ a month?). :yummy:
