No, but can you make the nomination thread for March because Buka can't do it? :)

First I'll do the January results (count votes and collect gamepack), Buka forwarded me the votes. Then I'll upload nominees for February election (my usual ToM task) and start the election and then make the March nominations topic. :)

@RobertRacer99: Instead of flooding the nomination thread with posts that only contain one or two nominations each, you can gather all of these into one post.

This election got me thinking... It is a fairly obvious phenomenon that one one trackmaker releases several good tracks in the same month with similar themes (like Bostos' tracks this month, or Maciej1 any time he releases several tracks), those tracks often split the vote and some track from someone else wins. It seems a bit unfair that this happens... Maybe there could be some recognition to the "Trackmaker of the month" who received the most votes combined for their tracks?

I don't think it's unfair. As good as Maciej1 is, and as tough as it is to argue with his genius, people who put in the effort to put out one exceptionally good track should be rewarded. If he's out to win Track of the Month, he should understand the risks of entering multiple tracks.

It's not always impossible though. I've had three months where both tracks I released in a month were on the podium. Even if I released more, I could just see one taking precedent over others, it tends to happen. Then again, I stopped making for the sake of ToM (sounds strange). I just like making circuits and make them as they come so if I make say, 10 tracks in one week, then 10 tracks come out. I think the voters usually have a good idea what 5 tracks to vote for irrespective of track maker. If they are all by the same track maker, so be it. Usually there is a standout track or two when this happens so it is not as if the vote splits up too much. This month showed that case clearly.

I kind of wish track makers didn't save releasing circuits for each month for the sake of the award.

I just noticed on the ToM website, on June 2013 I've been associated with a track called Trojak

http://tom.generally-racers.com/results ... &year=2013

I never made this track, and I cannot find on the forum who did

edit: also any plans for ToY?

I've moved that discussion to this topic to not trashing ToM topic.
So.. If he's not in the army, or he didn't declared as volunteer, he's not at the front, cause he's from Kyiv and this city is far from conflict on east side of Ukraine... Although something changes..
