On that time 3 voted were needed for a track to be included into pack, AFAIR.
Almost. At this time, 2 votes and the 10th place or better were required.

I'm doing the ToY and PoY results at the moment, and I've recognized that TuomoH's BmxSim, released in November 2010, was eligible for ToM/ToY and for PoY.
In other words: it was a track and a trackpack at the same time, but the ToM rules say, it has to be either a track or a trackpack.

BmxSim got 10 votes in ToM November 2010, and was also successful in PoY. I'll keep the track in both elections, because it was listet as an eligible trackpack for PoY. But in future we should recognise such problems before the election starts :)

But the 10 votes received just one track of the pack. There were much more tracks. Other nominated trackpacks had some of the tracks in nominees or even voted tracks in ToMs. Actually almost all the PoY nominated packs.

Oh, I see. I've overlooked that. So there is no problem.

How do you think? Is this eligible to be considered as a pack?

I incline to think that this is a pack.

Yes, but it's official release. ToM made by GR fans to award efforts by the fans or not? It would like giving a ToM in e.g. rFactor to its development team.

But it was made by TuomoH who's not a developer.

Not just developing code itself is contribution. The tracks are default part of game, same like a Räbinä would make them in my opinion. Nominate them then? That's a question, which I don't have sure answer. I just wanted to point that part of problem out.

I don't insist. Anyway I don't believe that this pack would win. exp:abs is more interesting and fun IMHO. :shhh:

But I would like to hear opinions from other people and we'd have to wait GeorgM probably.

rFactor Central has given Hall of Fame awards to some of the original content... but I'm inclined to agree that the new base tracks should not be eligible, even if they are new.

I think that the official pack has nothing to do with the new version itself. Well ok, the pack already gets much recognition, but I don't think that's a problem.

So personally I have no problem with giving this pack a chance, as long as it's recognized as a trackpack according to rule 6.e.a. IMHO it is a pack.

I wonder if it's possible to upload all updated stuff by Black Rebel. I mean, it was released quite a lot time ago, and back then, I guess it was as well nominated for ToM. So two ToM's in different months for quite a similar track?

I think updated Black Rebel's tracks shouldn't be nominated. They are a big piece of work indeed, but still they remain pretty much the same tracks.

Im inclined to agree, updating a track from v1.05 to v1.10 doesn't necessarily mean its worth nominating again as the changes aren't that huge :2c:

ToM rules say that updated versions of tracks that already has a nominated version aren't allowed.

Learn to read sentence to its end, The MNZ. ;) The rules say:
An update of an old track can't get nominated if the old track has already received an award or if the update wasn't considerable. The nomination-poster decides whether the track update is considerable or not. In every case he informs about his decision in the Discussion Thread. If other forum members take issue with the decision, it can be discussed there.
And I would agree with previous posts, that these updates, even if excellent efforts, are really not same league like e.g. Vivondion vs. Vivondion '09.

And BTW original Laguna Seca was 3rd in November 2006 which is an award, isn't it? So this update definitely can't be a nominee.

Somehow i'm still doubting he made that. I mean, how many times do you see someone who's practically a noob make a pretty impressive track?
Look to the left ----------------> that's to the right, mate :(
Owner of Team GeneAlex
GRACE S1 - 25th out of 47 drivers and 14th out of 18 teams. Not bad for a first season eh?
GRC S18 - 15th out of 26 (7th out of 14 in junior standings)

Well, this track was on GR Italia here. Some people don't register right away, and they can be coming from other communities, where they have gained their skills.
Also I moved this post so the nomination thread isn't cluttered.

Ahh ok then. But it says "2nd Tdm Agosto 2009" Does TdM mean the same thing as ToM? And anyway, Agosto 2009 means the track was made almost 2 years ago.

I also have my doubts. But ToM 2009 August track was Nedrelle by Speedy47, what turns it MORE suspicious.
