I've been working in this track last days, I would like to have some feedback and I also need someone to improve the kerbs here please...

Re: Track Ideas, W.I.P. and Teasers/Trailers
Cristiano The track itself looks very good and I like kerbs as they are now, but placement of pits is just awful. I'm afraid it will be possible to stop every lap in pits and it will be faster than to race that quite a big part of track.
Re: Track Ideas, W.I.P. and Teasers/Trailers
The same what Buka said. Your track looks quite good indeed, but I'd rather place the pits somewhere else, although you can't play much with the space anyway...

I think, that the pits look very cool, but you're right, the track is not great for GR compos, but in regular using it will be fun. And it's option of everyone, if he will cheat himself during races with AIs.

something really different about that pit! but really, if you need to cheat, well...Ivo Porc wrote:I think, that the pits look very cool, but you're right, the track is not great for GR compos, but in regular using it will be fun. the rest of the track looks good, if you want to change the kerbs, just add white to them in the traditional kerb style, it will also make them a bit less slippery!

Re: Track Ideas, W.I.P. and Teasers/Trailers
I was sure it would have many complaints about the pits
When I created the layout the pit straight was used as start/finish line, and I made the pits beside it. But later I decided to add that section on the bottom left and made that pit straight narrower to look like a pit road. It's the reason it is in a strange position... For now I'm thinking if I will change it or not
Thanks for the comments

Welcome back!Darjo wrote:Slowly getting back into trackmaking
Good luck with the trackmaking, I still think your tracks are among the very best, and consider AnelloAlpino as an all-time masterpiece.
Re: Track Ideas, W.I.P. and Teasers/Trailers
This is my first attempt at a track (not counting those 10 minute hand-drawn ones that I'm sure everyone has done )
Its supposed to be a bit difficult, and i think I'll place fences on the inside corners of the cliff chicane, just to make it a little more challenging
EDIT: Hmap will be different (clean up cliffs and im thinking on the first crossover, banked curves that turn into a jump, also there will be a jump on the second crossover. The Lmap will be fixed to correspond with the hmap (as i created them separately). I'm not sure what to do in terms of objects (apart from fences on the cliff... maybe some nice ones and a couple of ones)

Indeed and maybe you should also remove some crossovers... Both actually...Ivo Porc wrote:Looks good, just the oil.... I propose to not use it.

If you read the post, you'd have discovered that they won't be strict crossovers.

I did read the post yet, I think it's a bad idea to put bridge and jumps... Happy now, Luke?Lukeno1 wrote:If you read the post, you'd have discovered that they won't be strict crossovers.

Re: Track Ideas, W.I.P. and Teasers/Trailers
I have small problem. I created a crossing of 2 roads in corner of my track, I know, how cars will pass the crossing, but I cannot understand, how should be there traffic lines on tarmac. Can you help me, please?

I think there should be a underpass or traffic lights.

Use Google Maps or some other satellite service and see how they're in real life.Ivo Porc wrote:I have small problem. Sorry, I didn't tell you guys this before....Indeed and maybe you should also remove some crossovers... Both actually..
My friends and I play generally at school, and what we do is have 3 teams of 2. Each team has one f1 car, and one truck/van/whatever. The truck drives around and tries to take down their opponents and defend their teammate.
Why I am creating this course is that most of the tracks we use seem to be too similar, and I wanted to create a course that would be challenging to keep your car on the road at the best of times, and would set up some very impressive crashes.
Maybe I am trying to do too much on my first track
Also, thanks for the advice, I might have a go at making a friendlier version of this track for you guys

Re: Track Ideas, W.I.P. and Teasers/Trailers
@Ivo: maybe your thinking too much, perhaps the road from left to right is the main road (with the right of way), and the roads at the top and bottom are just junctions onto this main road
Re: Track Ideas, W.I.P. and Teasers/Trailers
Hi guys just a quick teaser of my next track, a real-life (kind of) street circuit. Walked around it this morning
What do you think??

Looks quite realistic, where is this "track/street"?
